| Stopping spam's rather easy. -Don't give out your email in plain text format or use a common filter. Spambots will pick it up. I imagine they're smart enough now to recognize something like user@nospam.domain.com or user[at]domain[dot]com, try something totally off the wall like user@monkeybrainsdomain.com (with instructions on what to remove of course) or typing ti backward. Or you could just make an image out of it. -NEVER, EVER, EVER click an unsubscribe link in a spam message. You'll be removed from their list - and added to 20 more. -Don't use IE. Spyware = teh bad. -Avoid 'send this page to a friend' links, random mailing lists, and other such things that ask for your email. -When checking your mail, don't open things that are obviously designed to bypass spam filters or replies to a message you didn't send. (I never quite got why viruses always pretend to be replies, any idiot can tell they never sent a message to these 20 people regarding 'your movies'.  ) There's a lot less danger if you use a non-M$ browser/client but there's still no point in opening them.-Don't download exe, scr, pif, bat, com, vbs or js attatchments. If someone needs to send you one of these, they can quite easily put it into a zip. (And there's no reason I can think of to send someone a .pif file.) Yahoo also does a great job of filtering. For every one that shows up in my inbox, about 20 are in junk. (Of course I run a quick check in Junk to make sure it's all spam.  ) |

| You forgot a few. (Yes, I saw that poster too.) The Corn Poopie Eat corn and presto! It reforms into the whole cob. (Also works with peanuts. First time I saw it I thought I'd pooped my teeth out.  )The Stealth Poopie You sit on the can for half an hour and nothing happens. When you finally decide to get up, you turn around to put the seat down and find a poopie you didn't even know you'd made. The Liquid Poopie A great way to recolour the entire inside of your toilet bowl. 'Nuff said. The Hanging Poopie Similar to the Grandfather Clock Poopie, but has to be manually shaken off. The Freedom Fighter Poopie Accompanied by a fanfare of farts and ends constipation. The Pop-A-Vein Poopie The poop that killed Elvis. Won't come out until you've strained for at least 20 minutes. The Right Now Poopie You better be within 30 seconds of a toilet. The Egg Poopie Stays completely solid until it hits the water, creating a very painful experience. Now you know how birds feel. The Razor Poopie After one of these, it might be a good idea to check the bowl and see if there's any broken glass in there. The Fake Poopie It feels like a poopie, it smells like a poopie, but all that comes out is gas. |

Why not have him stand guard on your windows?  To use it, just run it, bring up a non-maximized window and check it out. Right-click for a menu, all options should be self-explanatory. And before Kawa hits me, all I did was tweak the source from one of his sitters a bit. (Which of course means you'll need VB6 runtimes.)Oh, and if you're looking for the settings in the registry (watch out with that Offset  ) they're still in the same place as Kawa's....Oh yeah, and it only works in Win2K and up. | Bah, XP Home sucks. Try this in DOS (go to Start -> Run, then type 'cmd' or 'command' to get there): net your name /ADD administrators net localgroup administrators your name /ADD At least one of those should work, if Home supports them. You'll probably have to do it from an admin account though. |

| Those are some crazy emails. I get a few viruses (don't open them of course), a lot of gibberish which I assume is spam in another language, and the occasional actual, readable spam. Oh, and ignore the emails that say you sent a message with a virus. Probably over 99% of email worms use faked addresses. It's really stupid of AV designers to have them send a message back. |
