Well, it hasn't shown up since I closed it, even after a few reboots. (Apparently a hard enough smack can crash a computer. ) I'll scan sometime soon though (generally like to do it every now and then). Now if only this QuickCam thing didn't have so many extra programs with weird names, even when the damn camera's not plugged in. Stupid cheap hardware. |

What's the point of even locking the hacks anymore then? The problem with being able to unlock them is that there's no good use for it. Anyone with half a brain would keep an unlocked backup on a floppy, CD, or personal server. Sure, it's easy enough to steal things and cheat, and it's also easy enough to catch thieves, but that doesn't change the fact that they're stealing and cheating in the first place, and this only makes it easier. I noticed this in the readme:
If you're happy with people 'stealing' your hack, that's fine, but a lot of people aren't. |

That'd be quite awesome. Even if it wasn't intelligent life it'd be so cool to finally have a solid answer to the question of whether we're alone. |
Heh, anyone read Space Oddysey 2001? Better keep a look out for any big black rectangles.

When every student doesn't show up for class and the buses have all been cancelled because the roads are as slippery as a hockey rink, then yeah, that's a bit extreme. |

Hmm... Does the power light come on? The HDDs start up? CD-ROM still opens? If they don't, it's probably a power supply problem. Also, if any fans connected to the motherboard won't start, that's another sign. You should probably look at the CPU first though. |

Wow, you have horrible taste in colours. Anyway, why not just let it build up, then kill off one program at a time until it goes back down? One of them seems to have a memory leak of some sort. |

Pizza Pockets! Or was it Pizza Pops? The ones that are shaped like a taco, not the round ones. |

I really doubt there's still any in production, and they'd be pretty hard to make since there was like hundreds of different types of NES carts. GBA carts with emulators built in are a scam, they just come pre-flashed with free emulators you can get anywhere online. They'll work on nearly any GBA cart. |

Actually, I'd think lag would be the biggest problem. The game won't wait up for you, so the slightest lag would desynchronize everything. |
Para: Ehm, they're hacking Gamecube, which has a ROM chip in it?

I dunno if vertical scrolling would be possible with the game's engine, but it would be neat.

Oi, people sometimes. |
Nintendo made SMW almost 15 years ago. Everyone knows everything about it. The game is no longer in production. I seriously doubt they give a rat's ass if anyone hacks it - hell, it's good for them, because people will see this really cool Nintendo game and go buy more. When they say emulation is bad for them, they're talking about games that are still on the market, and you damn well know it. Also, no matter how much you hack the game, there's no hiding that it's based on SMW. Anyone can look at any SMW hack and see quite quickly that it's an SMW hack. It's not quite the same when someone takes a bunch of levels from a bunch of different hacks, puts them in his own hack, and claims it to be entirely his own work. Second, I'd just like to point this out: DW:TLC's pipes are an ASM hack! ASM hacks are NOT, repeat NOT affected by a hack being locked. Also, since the ROM is in a different format, it probably wouldn't work on your own anyway. Finally, even if you did unlock it, LM wouldn't open it. After reading this thread, I still fail to see any possible legitimate use for it. Originally posted by Parasyte God dammit, you can't say he's stupid just because you had some top-secret program that could do it. That'd be like if you said nobody had a ROM of some game, and I called you stupid because I had one and just hadn't told anyone. If nobody except you knows about it then it's hardly fair to expect them to account for its existance. (And please, spare us all the pain of replying with "That's not true, I gave a copy to my friend Bob, ur stupid lolololo" because we all know you will. )

Make it 2 lines, both positioned where the game will draw the menu overtop of them. |

Cool, hitting Clean did it. |
Now what does "fatal error C1010: unexpected end of file while looking for precompiled header directive" mean? This comes up in a source code file which I've included from another source code file (also tried including it in the header file). The only solution I've yet heard is to copy all the #includes into that file, but that just raised a whole lot of errors (and for good reason too, that doesn't even make sense ). |
