Well, teach him otherwise. The only reason I have IE installed (besides the rather stupid dependencies - nothing works without it  ) is for testing page/layout designs.Also, I agree with this being here. This is probably the most visited forum, and new exploit/virus info should be as well-spread as possible to ensure people don't get infected. | I just re-installed from scratch and haven't finished setting up yet. So I'm using the default XP theme and desktop. The only difference is that my taskbar is on the right and is 40% translucent, displaying the image behind it in a cool fashion. (Done using a program on my site. ) |

| Look at all the rendering problems you can get by making some of these windows transparent. It's clearly not designed for them to be anything less than 100% opaque. And I fail to see how drawing solid black would ever take less CPU power than drawing a picture. | |||
