Who wants to go into space?

SpaceShipOne's thrust was provided by two innocuous substances that, when mixed together, are explosive: nitrous oxide and rubber.

So I guess this baby really burns rubber. Ba-dum-psssh.

Same here, but we had some that stayed for a day about a week ago. Which is odd given that it's Canada, but then it's pretty far south in Canada. (I try to avoid saying 'southern Canada', given what 'southern [anything]' implies... Though I guess if you head out to less populated areas, it's true. )

Hmm, so you have to use an image list for icons? Nuts, I was hoping to avoid that. Anyway, I figured there must be some window attribute that tells it? (Can't just be constantly monitoring for it, since if you close/restart it or it crashes, the icons are all still in it.)

Anyway, this code won't work... All it does is patch into the existing taskbar. Mine is a replacement taskbar/shell, so explorer.exe won't be running.

Posted on 11-16-04 01:37 AM, in Do you browse the web using an admin account or a restricted one? Link
In Windoze: Admin. Technically not THE admin, but an admin account. There's 3 of them for some reason. (Speaking of which, isn't there a way to create an account as System, like being able to modify any file and such? Supposedly there's an option but I can't find it. Of course I wouldn't use it all the time, that's rather dangerous. )

In Linux (if I could get it to recognize my freaking network card): I do everything as Admin which is the only non-root account. (Running as root is dangerous, especially in Linux. )

At sk00l: The highest I can get without getting caught.

IE may appear to use not that much RAM, but since the "parts" are spread out in Windows, it is a lie - and you'd have to add the RAM usage of all files together to get the exact amount of RAM IS using. Also compare the size between downloading _full_ versions of Firefox and IE. While IE needs about 50-70 MB in full install, Firefox has less than 5 MB in the Win32 version

Exactly. IE is really just a web-browser interface for the Windoze shell, which is loaded at all times (even some parts of it if you're not using the default shell), so it's not really possible to judge its memory usage and load time. That's like judging the speed of your computer by how fast a PHP script runs - the server's the one running it, your computer just shows the result.

And BTW, Leg, tables look 8192x better in Mozilla.

Sure, it makes sense if you think about what you're technically doing... But to a normal person it just looks like you're throwing a disk in the trash. Which is especially bad given that that's also how you delete a file.

Sure, destroying them would be immature, but spamming would be fun. Bonus if they find it necessary to wipe the server because of it. Then it was their own dumb idea.

I wonder if it's possible (well, not a huge pain ) to hack a new mapper in, and add support for vertical scrolling?

Also, if you look at the level (or where it should be) directly below the fortress which is directly below the castle, the single dark spot looks odd. For that matter, so does the one next to the castle, and the gap above the other fortress and near the level you're at.

Plus, you really shouldn't have the paths revealed until you get to them.

Otherwise, it looks nice. The clouds in LGi.png look too big and close, though, and don't look like they cover the objects so much as being part of them...

Oh, and you have your email address in a mailto link on your web page - and worse, it's an Angelfire page. Unless you're looking for spam you should probably Javascript-encode that or make it an image.

You realize that you have the entire floor, Mario, and everything Bowser throws as sprites already... (Including the dozens of little flames.) A 9x16 moon might be too much. Otherwise Nintendo'd probably have added some detail.

Dream on, dude. Some people know, but they're more likely to tell you their credit card number than any of their hacking discoveries.

You gave me a great idea, though. Copy the keyhole sprite, disable interacting with Mario (so that, hopefully, it won't trigger if a key touches it, since Mario's holding the key), make the graphics invisible, and put it next to a block. Since the keyhole apparently has object interaction enabled (), it should run the block's 'touched by sprite' code for every frame that it's on the screen! (Haven't tried it though.)
