It was actually my brother who came up with the Lego idea. I asked him what the most insane thing to turn the board into he could think of... Before he came up with it, I my idea was to turn all board members into traffic signs... But that had been a litte bit too wierd... Right...? You're not supposed to record a movie. You're just supposed to play through a level and then make a savestate when you're done. The recording stuff is in the ASM hack LM installs and the recorded data is stored in the RAM memory, which you save to a save state and load in LM. (edited by Smallhacker on 07-18-05 06:39 AM) |

No. You need ASM. In order to avoid editing a lot of message box code, you can make a block which shows the third message (which is always the Yoshi message), but that requires that there's no way to get Yoshi on the Yoshi's Island submap. Also, the third message is always the same on every level. Another possibility is to make an invisible and passable block around the message block which changes the current level number and thereby, changes which text to show. |

The save prompt is triggered after beating a castle, fortress, ghost house, switch palace or level file 80 and 7E. If you aren't using one of these, you can change it to look like Bowser's front/back door. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I decided to make the block which changes level number since it would be easy. Here it is You need one block for each level number to change into, so don't overuse these new powers. Notes: To choose which level number to change into, change the 2nd byte (a 00) in the .bin to the level nuber you want. If the level number is above $24, you have to subtract it by $DC I recommend that you change back to the normal level number before pipes, doors, goals and such. |

How to rip from a savestate: 1) Make the savestate 2) Open YY-Chr or any other tile editor of choice 3) Open the savestate in it 4) Copy the wanted tiles 5) Add them to an ExGFX file or such. 6) Save

I dislike rips. It's unoriginal and overused. In my opinion, decent hand drawn graphics are several times better than perfect rips. |
