Do you hate the item box thingie? Wanna kill it? Here's how to:

Change C745, C746 and C747 to EA.

Knowledge about how to use a hex editor is recommended.
In order to remove the border, just use SMWSBE.

Well, I belive that I once found the tile data for the wooden "smashers", but I never was unlasy enough to verify it, and now, the address is lost, together with all of my other files. (Got the computer back from the repair guys... Without any CDs containing my files... Bastards...)

I did a quick breakpoint thingie and located the code where the data is written to the item box byte in RAM and NOPed it out.

In other words, I removed the code that stores the item in the box.

This means that custom blocks that gives you items will still work like before.

Like Kyouji said, I'm working on a castle/ghost house repointing program. (Is anyone accually using the No Yoshi Sign intro?)

All you have to do is to design a level in LM, remember the level number and enter it to my program and the intro will be repointed to that level.

The only limitation is that you have to repoint it again if you modify the level since LM may move it around. The only way to fix this is to make an ASM hack.

No. Like I said, LM may move the level to a new location. Therefore, you should use the program every time you edit something.

Thanks, but no thanks, since next to all code in the program is preprogrammed and it would be (next to) impossible to tell the difference between it and my code.

I'm planning on rewriting the programs and bunch them together with some new stuff into a large program. Project name: Tellus Simplicity. However, all I've done so far on it is the graphics for a few buttons. Rewriting the 4bpp graphics loading routine will be a pain.

I've never really liked LM's way to handle pipes and stars... It messes up too much... It would be easier if you could like draw a line on the screen between two pipes/stars and they are automajjically connected. The problem would be if the first star is at the top of the OW and the second one is at the bottom of Forest of Illusion... :/

Pretty much... With a few exeptions. For example, let's say that I put you in the comic. I would design you based on your avatar. A magikoopa with a big nose? That wouldn't work. Therefore, some people may look "normal".
