Acmlm world returned from the death? Yay!!

I'd like to be a... uhm... Either 8x8 enemy (like goomba) or a 16x16 enemy (like Mega Mole). Wait... Maybe one of the Chocholate Island dinos?

*Breathes fire on my computer*

Woops.

Are they stored like that? I thought that they was stored like the status bar and overworld border.

(2 bytes / tile. The first one decides what tile to use and the other one decides color, flipping and priority)

Swedish saying: There are no stupid questions. Only stupid answers. (No, I'm not saying that BMF's answer was stupid. )

Example:
Person A: How do I load a rom in LM
Person B: Shut up

Good example.

Example 2:

Person A: What exactly does ROM byte $7E1A74 do? It seems like it have got something to do with boss battles, since changing alters $7E95AA, which is known to control the "moving walls" from the Roy battle (which is located at $8036A3 in the ROM).
Person B: Shut up.

Another good example.

Story line idea:

Mario, Nintendo's secret agent, have infiltrated the Acmlm boards in order to find out the identities of the hackers. The reason for this is that Nintendo wants to stop the rom hacking once and for all. However, Mario found out that he was able to control the rom hacking world with these forums. Therefore, he faked his own death so Nintendo wouldn't be in his way. Acmlm was the only one who found out what Mario was up to and escaped from the forums. All his warning threads he left was deleted by Mario before anyone read them. And so, Mario took control of the forum members and ordered them to find and destroy Acmlm... And so the adventure begins...

Nice!

However, the spade block isn't neccesary, since there are no extended animations for overworlds. (Hint, Fu!)

In order to fix that (if that is the problem), insert the ExGFX to a new location. (Don't make up a location, since that can overwrite other stuff. Ask someone who knows.) Then, edit the damaged part of the level(s) and make it look nice.

Edit:
Oh, by the way... Using OMG, PLEASE and !!!!1!1 in the topic name doesn't help you to get answers. It might have the opposite effect...

Uhm... He just explained that...

SIMPLE GUIDE TO FLIP LAYER 2 EVENT TILES (hoo-ray...)

1: Enter layer 2 editing mode. Ok?
2: Look to the right. Ok?
3: Look at the layer 2 event tiles to the right if the map(s). Ok?
4: Open the 8x8 tile window. Ok?
5: Pick the upper right corner tile and click on flip x. Ok?
6: Paste the flipped upper right corner piece to a upper right corner of an unused event tile. Ok?
7: You get the idea. Ok?

Also. Allow me to introduce something brand new to the hacking world:
The Lunar Magic Help File!
In this file (will be aviable sometime during this week), you can find information about menu commands, MAP16, Overworld editing, some ASM, LM version history and much, much, much, mu-hu-hu-hu-uuuch more!
Only $0.00 at your local FuSoYa site.

Read hex? What??

Anyway... Do like this:
1) Open LM
2) Load a ROM
3) BEFORE you do ANYTHING more, enter "Chelsea" without the "s. (Case sensitive)
4) The status bar should show the text "Chelsea is really cute!". If it doesn't, close LM and jump to step 1.
5) Open the OV editor and click on File>Chelsea's Bonus Menu>Load Title Screen
6) Edit
7) Save

There you go!

As far as I know, unlocking a hack for LM editing is still impossible.
Also, IIRC, it's impossible to "remove" an expansion.

I was bored this morning and noticed that some sprites was missing in the add sprites window. I decided to find out what they did. I haven't tested them all yet, but...

#12 Null/Unused sprite - This sprite does nothing.
#17 Unused Fish - A fish that falls off the screen.
#36 Null/Unused sprite - Crashes when you reach it's screen
#53 Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#7C Peach - Falls forever. Mario can't move, exept jumping.
#82 Bonus Game - The level 0/100 bonus game. Due to the amount of sprites, usage is not recommended.
#85 Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#88 Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#96 Charging Chuck - Acts exactly like te normal one.
#A0 Bowser Battle - Adds thunder, glitchy background and mechakoopas, but no Bowser. Mario walks behind sprites.
#A1 Bowser's Cannon Ball - Works in normal levels. Floor collission is hardcoded to Y=12.
#A7 Iggy's Ball - Not tested
#A9 Renzor - Works perfectly, exept no floor. Place 4 sprites to create 4 Renzors. You can add more, but you will still win after knocking out 4.
#B5 Sinking Fireball - Not sure what this is...
#E7 Auto Scroll Special 1 - Works.
#EB Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#EC Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#EE Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#F0 Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#F1 Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#F6 Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#F7 Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#F8 Null/Unused sprite - Not tested
#F9-#FF Probably null/unused sprite - Not tested

Also, I made a list of the boss battle level modes.
#09 Probably the other bosses - The ceiling and lava appears. Glitched background. Mario freezes like when using the Peach sprite.
#0B Iggy / Larry - The floor and lava appears.
#10 Bowser - Invisible floor, music and glitched backgrounds. Use sprite A0.

Also, I noticed something while messing around with BMF's "Scene select" debug thing... This debug function allows you to change to next movie when watching the "Mario destroys castle! Weeh!" movies by pressing L, R and up. (PAR code: 00950B30) Well, I noticed something that I call "Headache Mode".
By pressing L and R (but not up), the movie restarts. But if you hold L and press R multiple times, the screen will go almost black. Let the movie continue and return to the map screen (which now is black). Enter a level. Have fun with your new headache!

...yeah, that's all, folks!

...you can stop reading now...

No, that's not a palette problem... It's a GFX error. Also, the extra Chuck have got the same problem too (since there are only one single running picture (exept for animation) in the GFX file.

However, thanks for pointing that out. Now I have got something to fix in my hack!
