You need to change the title screen level (C7) too. Overwrite level C7 with the level where you recorded the demo.

There's no problem in changing status bar colors as long as
1) The text is readable
2) It looks the same in every level (or special themed palettes, like red in a volcano and blue in the ocean) The most important is that it doesn't look random.

My worst accident happened when I was around 5 years.
Me and my mom were going to buy some stuff at a store nearby and we took our bicycles. However, when we left, we remembered tha tI forgot to put on my helmet. Since we locked the door and everything, we thought that it would be ok for this time. How wrong we were.

There were a downhill in my neighbourhood (Maybe 65 degrees angle) that I always wanted to go down by bike. And of course, I decided to do it today. Of cource, it were too steep and fast for me. I fell of my bike and flew into a concrete bench. Ow. It's around 11 years since it happened, but I still have a scar in my forehead. *CoughHarryPotterCough*

Using the hex changing trick changes every single Rex in the game into Goombas, so no, using both "Rex Goombas" and Rexes is impossible, unless you make some kind of ASM bypass...

The sprite MAP16 WON'T, I repeat, WON'T save the changes to the ROM. The only reason for it's existance is that some people might make an ASM hack to change certain enemies' use of graphics, and then you can use this function to make them look correct in LM.

Accually, there's a hidden level.

On the "last" level, you can fly through the ceiling to the right. There's a goal sphere or something there that leads you to a SMB2 like level, probably a SMW version of a level from his blob bros. hack.
