| I made two blocks yesterday. The first one makes the level fade out to the overworld, beating the level. The second one does the same, but avtivates the secret exit instead. In blocktool, set above, sides and below offsets to 0 (Normal exit) or 28 (Secret exit) and the rest of the offsets to -1. In case you wonder how they're different from the end level blocks in Blocktool, these ends the level instantly (without adding the time*50 to the score) Download them here. (If you're curious how they were made, I copied the code from one of BMF's debug cheats) (edited by Smallhacker on 08-29-05 01:46 AM) |

Originally posted by HyperHacker If I recall correctly, it's like this: If the address is 014A, it jumps to the 014Ath byte in the block code. Block tool adds the block code's rom position to all the relocated addresses and converts them to snes format or something like that. |

| 1) Get Lunar Address from Fu's site. 2) Add a 01 to the beginning of the address you found in MWR. 3) Enter this number into LA as the SNES address. You should get a PC address. This is the address you can enter into your hex editor to jump to the start of the code. |

| peter_ac: There's more levels in the demo than that. After the book, you should be taken to the 2nd spaceship level which leads to the teleporter. |

| Are you asking how to save changes made in the 16x16 editor? If so, open the 16x16 editor, make the changes and press F9. | |||

Originally posted by SMT Look here. If you're releasing a hack, you HAVE TO release the .ips instead of the rom. Giving away roms is ILLEGAL. Use an .ips unless you want Uncle Police to come to your home and teach you a lession. Giving away roms on this board (or even linking to one) could cause a warning, or if you're unlucky, a ban. In other words: Use .ips instead of roms. |

| Well, since this thread is about a music editor, maybe a song would fit? Smallhacker: Blackhole, man. Where did it go wrong? It seems like years since you revealed your project... Blackhole89: That was years ago. Smallhacker: ...This one's for you. (Sings) I got mad at blackhole, uh! For delaying the Solar Soundtrack, uh! I hope he didn't have a hard drive crash, or something like that Cause that would mean that it's dead. Soundtrack is not dead, I'm so glad Soundtrack is not dead. Soundtrack is not dead, Ohhh, I'm so glad Soundtrack is not dead. Soundtrack is not dead, So glad Soundtrack is not— (Stops singing) Just the claps! Just the claps... (Fails to avoid rotten tomatoes thrown towards me) |

| I'm trying to make a small game, since I need training in C++ programming. However, what's a game without levels? Therefore, I need code which reads the level data from a file. (using fstream.h) ifstream is; is.open ("c:\\ZRO_lv.txt"); for (int yy=1;yy<26;yy++){ for (int xx=1;xx<61;xx++){ if (!rep){ is.get(rep); is.get(readblk); is.get(readcol); }else{rep--;} map[xx][yy].chr=Blockchar(readblk); map[xx][yy].col=readcol; } } is.close(); (File format, in case somebody wonders: Byte 1 = How many times to repeat the two following bytes. Byte 2 = Block number. Byte 3 = Block color) However, for some reason, something goes wrong when it comes across a 0x0A byte, which seems to cause it to read junk instead of file data. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? (edited by Smallhacker on 09-05-05 12:31 PM) |
