I'm with you 100%. I had mentioned that it could be renamed to the "Game Creation Centre" once at the old board in the staff forum in some thread. Besides, alot of the utilities used to make RPGs can also make games of other types.

I'm not that good myself. I only played once in a while in the past, and most of the time I would just play for about a week at a time. This will just be for fun anyway.

I can't really play it on my PC at the moment, but I think I'll just wait until I get my hands on a new video card instead of playing on PS2. I'll probably only play for a month anyway, and then I'll get bored and I'll stop. |

It's a pretty good game, and I'm sure it will fill in some of time when I have nothing to do. You did a good job on everything in the game, and the level maker is also very good and easy to use.

I was looking through some files and I found a screenshot of my desktop from February 2001. So, here's my current desktop, and the one from February 2001 for you to see. March 2004 February 2001 |

I'll have to say Butz as well. Some other character names are pretty bad aswell, but I don't really mind them. As for Butz, I never even used his real name in the game anyway. (edited by Jack-Al on 03-16-04 12:22 PM) |

My brother joined a few times, but he always got deleted because of inactivity. He registered again not long after me here as E-VIL. Anyway, welcome to the board The Gift of Gabe. Have fun, and enjoy your posting experience. |

Sure, some parts in the game sort of annoyed me as well. However, other parts of the game were good, and it made it a good game. I just ignored the small and annoying parts, and took into consideration the bigger, more interesting, parts.

Yeah, the quality is good, and it connects pretty easily. I had another conversation with a girl who I don't know after, but I couldn't make out what she was saying.

The first game I ever played, besides Pong, was Mario Brothers. I actualy only played a Sonic Game for the first time on the game gear. In general, I just like Mario's games more than Sonic's games. (edited by Jack-Al on 03-17-04 02:46 PM) |

Simple layouts... yeah... It's pretty good. The black and white matches pretty well with the comic, and simple layouts are good. Complex ones are only good if they are very well made. |

It's pretty good as a whole, but maybe you could add a little more cellpadding to make the text not appear too close to the border. Oh well, it's pretty good for a first layout. My first layout was a simple background, with some quickly done tables to place my text.

Games get delayed all the time, but most of the time they aren't really noticed. My favorite Megaman is the 4th one. I got it from my cousin when I was young, and I played it for a long time. I only played the other games from the series once in a while. I also liked Megaman X alot, but not as much as Megaman 4. I don't really mind the latest megamans, but I haven't really played any of them that much. |

I'll probably go there pretty soon, and I don't really mind how long we play. I'm free for a few hours until I decide to go to bed. (edited by Jack-Al on 03-17-04 10:00 PM) |

I guess I'm an oldbie since I registered 5 hours after Acmlm on the old board. Most of the time, I consider someone to no longer really be a newbie once he or she has been around for a few months.

Well, with a vote of 100% for the name change, I think it's good to say that the forum should change name. Maybe it will influence more members into making games and posting about them.

I don't have a cellphone at the moment, and I don't really plan on getting one any time soon either. Most of the time I talk to people in person, or through the internet. I don't hate cellphones though, my parents have one each, and I guess it can be useful at times. |

Yes, of course, you can just use one of the tools made for computer. However, RPG Maker 2 allows you to make RPGs in 3D easily, and even though I like RPGs in 2D better, it would be fun to be able to make a quick RPG in 3D and have people play it. I could try and make one with one of the current tools, or I could program it from scratch. However, since I'm not really that interested in making an RPG in 3D, I don't really feel like spending alot of time making one. |

Just in case some people didn't see it yet, I thought I'd post a thread about this. Enterbrain is making a new RPG Maker called RPG Maker XP. You can see some screenshots and some info at their site. http://www.enterbrain.co.jp/digifami/products/rpgxp/ Or, you can see a translated version over here.. http://www.phylomortis.com/html/rmxp1.html It looks pretty good from the screenshots, and the new graphics seem pretty nice as well. The only thing that seems a little weird to me at the moment is the new battle layout. It probably needs those requirements to be able to run everything at the same time. If there's alot of stuff happening at the same time, it will run slow on a computer even if there's no 3D. Lord Rahl, there's more than two screenshots, the buttons at the top of the page lead to other pages, and each page contains a few screenshots. (edited by Jack-Al on 03-19-04 06:22 PM) |
