*blackhole89 hates Maths (only because of the teacher, though ), Ethnology (that is, not only because of the teacher) and PE (uhm... I dunno why ). My favourite subjects, btw, are Chemistry and Latin. (I'm not joking.) Informatics, sadly, is off until year 10. And yes, art (I dunno what it's called in English, but I hope you understood me... more or less) sucks too. w00t, one post more on the long and stony way towards 1k and a custom rank... SD3/SoM2 - The Sacrifice, Part III 'tis the second part of the final boss fight theme in SD3 (the first part is sorts of linear/boring). Just sounds good. ...no...wait...while I'm typing this, it changed already... FFVI/FF3us - Vector Laboratory Theme aka Devil's Lab You see, I renamed many of t3h FFVI tracks in order to make the nomenclature a bit more related to the game itself. w00t soundtrack, sounds sorts of techy. Both of them pwn. But I think the first one is slightly better than the second one. And yes, I'm listening nearly only to SNES SPCs. That means, I haven't found anything better yet. And I'm quite sure I won't become tired of that, because I am already listening to this exclusively (that is, not while playing) since I was about 10. And I am not yet. So, enough written. I'm no good at describing things. One post closer to the 1k mark. w00t. |

In a jug? Where the heck did you get that I once bought milk in an aluminium can, that was on an austria trip... it was freshly pressed out from the cow (crap... dictionary isn't within my operating radius but you understood me, haven't you) and had about 5% fat (that is, of course, a guess). |

First of all, world 1 is extraordinary. w00t. Second, world 2 is a graphical disappointment compared with world 1. Third, there is a killer pipe in the second ("Aquatic Ambience") level of world 2, which leads to a room with the piranha island 1 background, cave music and nothing else. That means, you fall in the emptiness. w00t. edit, fourth, the name of the world 2 ghost house vaguely reminds me of some sort of ghost house movie that was on TV in Germany recently. If you actually meant that, what about making the goal of this level a hammer like goal sphere object. (edited by Commander Blackovich on 08-25-04 12:48 PM) |

There are three no-yoshi intros in the game.To enable one of them, following conditions have to be met: 1. The "Disable "No Yoshi" level intro (if applicable)" setting in LM's "change other properties" dialogue box must be disabled. 2. The header graphics index must be one of those: - Castle #(any of them) for the castle entrance intro. - Ghost house # for the ghost house entrance intro. - One of the rope sets for the no yoshi sign intro (which wasn't in the original game) - at least I think so. Have fun, Blacky. |

Originally posted by Keikonium Thanks well, SMW: ALttP (A Link to the Past) is not dead, it was just in a stadium that may or may not be called "temporary ice" for until two days ago because I was frustrated having to rely on an old backup after an LM crash caused by virtual memory flaws. Well, as I said, I'm working on it again, mainly redoing the demo 1 levels in order to fit with the YI grass theme of the first world. As for my profile website setting, it doesn't have actually anything to do with romhacking... I just attempted to catch some of the German speaking board members for a selfmade MMOG (which was recently overtaken by cheaters, though). Well, demo 2 isn't too far away, I just have to make some nice graphic sets for world 2, make the levels and it is done oh well, I have to make the RPG code work finally, too. There was also a hack called SMW: The Beanbean adventures, but I don't have anything to do with it except that I played it once... |

It is the N-SPC soundtrack. Among the countless N-SPC command there's one that, in fact, turns on the SFX echo (and the track echo, of course, too). When I finally manage to finish Solar Soundtrack (kinda stuck, because I'm temporarily tired of it ) you can use it to enable the echo effect on the water track. But you have to use SMAS music, as SMW's N-SPC derivate is still sorts of obscure to me. If you do use SMAS music, I can send you an IPS enabling echo on the water track. But that isn't as easy as "which bytes do I have to change". Hex hacking may be working in many cases, but it is far not enough on SPC. Most probably you'd screw up the music in your hack. Well, I'll just use this thread to post a bit on the current SST progress. - I'm currently working on a more user-friendly, separate-windowed track editor. - I'm currently working on a sample editor/changer. - I'm currently feeding the SMAS SPC dump with way better SoM, SD3, Terranigma and SMRPG samples. As for me, all of the instruments in SMAS except the steel drums (#12 or 0x0C) are sorts of trashy. |

Use a little bit of cheating to get past the barrier in the last level (7E0094FF). What awaits you beyond are some ready but glitchy levels, some complete, but ExGFX lacking ones and some which have the goal sphere object right at theirs start. But overworld works fine, except for the submaps and events. | |||

The cast says the music is by someone called Noriko Matsueda. Seems familiar... *looks up* Ah yes. He did one single track for Chrono Trigger, namely the Boss Battle 1, or lesser Boss battle one. Btw, Chrono Trigger's wind blow SFX are very similiar to FFVI's, they even both sound like long iron wire ropes vibrating when you use old ADPCM decompression. Nobuo Uematsu, the FFVI artist, also had some tracks in Chrono Trigger. Wait... *downloads Xenogears soundtrack from Zophar's* I wanna hear that too. edit, weirdo, it isn't there. Is Xenogears a SNES game after all? (edited by blackhole89 on 08-29-04 03:39 PM) |

If you do, that won't be a catastrophe, but LM won't be able to show the correct track list anymore, which even could result in loss of access to some tracks. Just make sure it remains in the same folder as the ROM and has the same filename (e.g. mysmwhack.smc => mysmwhack.msc). |

rofl now this is the craziest thing I've seen for a whole lot of time... but that tendency was evident for some time already... I recently saw some screenshots of a new Final Fantasy game (X-2 that was, I think; I never actually played any console higher advanced than SNES except for Rayman Revolution on PS2, and that was on a school exchange trip somewhere north-west of Belfast) which, already, were sorts of ... uhm ... explicit. Same goes for the covers of anime magazines (I never saw the contents, though). And the idea of "nude cheats" isn't new either, there already was one in SD3. @Mileena: It's just a matter of time when the first Bowser nude pics appear |

SD3 = Seiken Densetsu 3 aka Secret of Mana 2. Jap Sequel to Secret of Mana, translated by the quite well-known Neill Corlett to English. And as for ruined magazines, there are always people who'd get turned on by large SM koopas with spikes on their shells... afaik. |

8 bits... SNES is palette, you know... although you have 16bit colour entries. And I see no point at it, either; despite that it's fucking hard to get - you have to play about three quarters of the game without using a single spell or equivalent item... |
