Sometimes I have to click links twice, but it's not isolated to this board, it's everywhere. Firefox will usually say "Waiting for www.[domain].com," and nothing will happen. I think that's just an ISP issue, the request probably gets lost somewhere...

Definitely E with A as an option (or vice versa). Firefox is probably a good example, though it still uses non-standard methods to draw its menus and such even without a skin (its drop-down menus draw soooo slowly on my K6-2)...

"ExGraphics," not "ExGFX." And it has to be a sub-folder of the one your SMW ROM resides in (example, if your hack is located in C:\SNES\MARIO, the new folder would be C:\SNES\MARIO\ExGraphics; put your ExGFX files in there).

This has been discussed in the past, and it's just going around in circles now. Unlocking a hack is bad, and it's not easy, so don't bother trying. They are locked for a reason. Locked out of your own hack? You're screwed. Make a backup next time, and not on the same disk.

(sorry, I just grew tired of this subject very quickly the first time it came about, and I don't like seeing it revived again)

It's FAR more stable than TLP by a longshot. Easier to use, too.

Numbers and star outlined in green. Some of the number tiles are flipped and used multiple times for different numbers.

I noticed that, too...it slows down a LOT sometimes. Did you ever figure out why it happens?

They're stored right before the status bar in the ROM, in the same two-byte format (tile, attributes).

Ooh, that's a nice Chicago clone. Looks pixel-perfect at 9pt...

Er, the only thing I noticed is that there's no copyright info in the file, which all my other fonts do have. Maybe that has something to do with it?

[EDIT]
Never mind, there is copyright info in the file (1990-1991 Apple Computer Inc.--I don't think this is a clone!), but I guess it's not where Windows expects to find it. Perhaps this is an older/different TrueType version that Win2K and XP don't support?

If you can figure out the compression/encoding/whatever the platform graphics (GFX27.bin) use, I will shower you with riches lots of praise.

This could very well be a TrueType font pulled straight from a Mac. The fact that Windows reads the wrong name for the font (the name is stored in multiple languages within the file) seems to support this, as both OSes probably handle language settings differently. 1990-1991 indicates that it's a very old font, so it's possible the format was changed slightly, and Microsoft overlooked that fact while building 2000/XP's font system...

(It's also possible that the newer OSes reject fonts intended for use on an Apple, but that's a little more far-fetched, I think.)

Actually, such a feature already exists in the ROM...if I recall correctly, it's just disabled with an unconditional branch.

It's probably the power supply. A similar thing happened to my computer last year...if I turned it off and left it off for a few hours, it would often take several tries to start it back up again. The fans and hard drives would spin up, but there would be no other activity. Replacing the power supply completely fixed the problem.

You said the hard drive doesn't start when you turn on the power...that would seem to indicate a power supply problem, since hard drives normally spin up regardless of CPU activity.

Check "Use Joined GFX Files" under LM's Options menu. This will extract all the graphics into one "AllGFX.bin" file (not an "AllGFX" folder).

Don't even start...

I'd recommend learning how to do those things yourself...I don't think anyone is going to do it for you, since they're busy working on their own hacks. It's really not that hard, and there are a few tutorials available. Just browse through some of the sticky threads.
