Yeah, there are converters available, though they're probably very expensive. Most external "specialty" devices like that are.

If you don't mind updating your video card, most new ones on the market have TV output built in. Heck, my old GeForce4 MX420 (a cheap entry-level card) had it.

Hmm...when I do that, it scrolls down a few lines, not to the bottom of the page. I'm using 1.0PR. Maybe I'm doing it wrong...

Interestingly enough, the Japanese version does have these characters; they're used in the hidden level select (they appear as corrupted dots in the US version). There also appears to be a small, unused green/yellow font loaded right after the big one in RAM, which I don't believe was used for anything (the ending, maybe? I haven't finished this game in ages). The GameShark Pro's VRAM viewer is a wonderful tool.

Not all drives can properly support high-capacity CDRs/CDRWs, as it requires the laser to be able to go past the standard 650MB mark (called "overburning"). A friend of mine has an old 1x drive that works with only the original 650MB discs.

What brand/model of drive do you have? If it's a somewhat older one, it most likely only supports 700MB max.

See, this is why I choose to ignore most people that complain about Windows "crashing all the time"...maybe they wouldn't HAVE so many stability issues if their machine wasn't loaded with spyware.

I reboot Windows maybe once or twice a month, and have NEVER reinstalled it on my primary computer--I've upgraded straight from WFW 3.11 -> Win95 -> Win98 SE and gone through numerous hardware upgrades, and it still runs nice and smooth. So why does every respected "computer genius" tell you to reinstall it every month? Is keeping Windows clean and tidy really such a hard concept to grasp?

ZSNES's show/hide layer keys have no effect on emulation at all, so it would stay hidden.

You could try scrolling layer 3 off the screen by writing to $2111 or $2112 (h-offset and v-offset, respectively). The value is 16-bit, so you have to write the low byte first, high byte second. I haven't tried this, though, so I don't know if it would affect the status bar or everything below it (the game uses HDMA to split layer 3 into two parts), or not have an effect at all...

Those spots you have marked as "unused" are the spaces where the numbers go.

I got a worm infected with a virus (W32.Opaserv carrying W32.Busm.1445...double your pleasure ) last year, seemingly out of thin air. It somehow crept onto either my new computer (unlikely) or my parents' computer (mmhmm) and spread itself over the network. It corrupted enough executables beyond repair on my new computer that I had to reformat and reinstall everything (fortunately I hadn't installed much of anything yet), and it would have infected my primary computer as well, had I not removed its entry in the Registry before rebooting.

As far as I could tell, no one had downloaded and run anything or visited any suspicious websites prior to the infection. It was just there. Windows was up-to-date, security-wise, and my router's firewall was working fine. Really mysterious...

*sigh*

You already asked this same question about a week ago, and it has been answered countless times in the past. Look through old threads, read the stickied threads, read LM's help file, and if you still can't figure it out, post a DETAILED description of the problem you're having, not just "it messes up." That doesn't give us ANY clue as to what you're doing wrong.

I think the best way to go about importing custom music would be to use MOD files, since they're closer in format to SPCs than MIDIs are (in fact, there's a program called OpenSPC that converts SPCs into Impulse Tracker modules, and they sound virtually identical). I don't believe the MOD format is very complicated, and there are a several good, relatively easy-to-use MOD-editing tools available, such as the ModPlug Tracker.

I recall Shroomy's pronunciation from a thread years ago: "ack-mill-um."

As for me, I just pronounce the letters. A-C-M-L-M. Which really is the proper way, since Milly himself said that his name is just random letters.

Okay, tougher one: how do you pronounce gnkkwinrrul?

I'm guessing the "ml" in his name has something to do with it.

Ac = "Ace"
ml = "Milly"

Really good cloud levels seem to be in short supply. I've found the "underwater" music seems to go really well with these.

I'd also like to see more space levels...
