I don't remember when I made this, but it's going to be used in an upcoming free-ware game of mine. (There's also going to be different colored ones) It'll be resized to 64x64, and 16x16 as well. Does it look good enough?

Thanks for the input.
The pink is their for a decent background color, since the bubble is outlined in black.
Check the Games Creation forum in a while for a look at the game that it's in.

If I had a clone, then we'd probably have a good time arguing with, and complaining about each other.

This is a mockup of the screen in the free-ware game that I'm making. I need to know if it looks alright.
Do the buildings in the horizon look okay? Do they give an impression of being in the horizon?
This isn't the final version though. I'm gonn add in some more bigger buildings infront of the tall grey ones, and maybe add in some street lights.

I don't believe in global warming. At least not anything major.
If there's such a danger, than how is that where I live we're still getting snow? Not to mention that hot areas like Texas got snow last year. It just doesn't seem to add up.

Lots of people's concerns about global warming is that it affects the o-zone layer right? Well, I'm pretty sure that the sun CREATES the o-zone layer, so even if it was damaged, it would just be repaired.

I finished a new free-ware game, (will be posted when I get my new site up) and am now working on a clone of Tetris Attack, also free-ware. What I need are some ideas as of the game's settings. Right now I'm using walls and backgrounds of bricks, but they don't look good in a game with colored blocks with shapes on them.
Any ideas?

Well, now that I have some web space, I was able to put up a test version of my Breakout/Arkanoid clone "Hyper Ball". I'm just about done with it, but no one's played it yet, so I don't know what to change.
Anyway, you can get the one level test version here:

http://www.gigagamesnet.net/Games/HyperBallTest.zip

When you're done playing, please reply to the following questions:

Do you like it?

Do the ball to paddle collisions seem accurate?

What are your opinions on the power-up system?

What don't you like? What would you change?

Overall, what do you think of this game?

Thanks.
This one's going to be like most others, but the plan is to have to 2 'episodes' after this one-made ASAP since it's just modifying the orignal, and replacing the levels. I was going to have two other people(last I checked it was Uly and I think MegaDog were willing to try) create levels and their own power-ups for their episodes, so the sequels should be more different.
And once you get to later levels anyway, it does get a bit different.

And did the ball's reaction to the paddle seem okay? I keep thinking that it moves left to often.

This is funny. When I was younger I used to actually write stories about my friends and I entering the worlds of video games.
I guess that I might want to go to Mega Man 1. know all the ins and outs of that one.
Or maybe Spider Man 2: Tbe Video Game. It would be like going to New York, only you'd be able to fight bad guys.

I'm a little embarassed about this now, but the first board I joined up with was in 1999/2000, and was a Pokemon Community.

Around late '99, early '00 I joined the Challenge Games community, and at that time I was a complete newb at ROMHacking, and am sure that I pi@@ed off many proffessionals like Vagla, with stupid questions.

Then thanks to Dragonsbretheren I joined TEK in 2002, posted there ever since, but now am starting not too as much, seeing it keeps getting hacked.

And now here I am at ACMLM's for the time being.

ANWAR? What's that? Is this about drilling in Alaska? If so, then what's so bad about that?

Scuze me.

I'm not gonna get into the whole 'amount of oil left' arguement, but since we'd be drilling in our own country, we'd be saving billions in not buying it from others.
Does't anyone care about that?

Well of course the oil's going to run out. It takes something like this to get you complaining?
But seriously, oil is reproducable. Oil is created from fossils of plants. And in WW2 the Germans successfuly created oil-then the formula got destroyed. Plus, look at the oil fields in Iraq. Saddam set fire to them twice in the past 10 years, and they're still full of oil. Oil doesn't run out that quickly.
Just don't worry, there's more than enough oil out there, and by the time it runs out-if it does- there'll be a way around it.

I just said "By the time it runs out" there will be a solution . It's not gonna run out for over a century at least.

We are researching alternative fuels. Up in MIT they're studying fusion reactions, a great source of energy. Who knows, maybe the government really does have something else.
'Market Collapse'? What are you talking about?

That's the thing. No one knows what's going on. If the government is working on an alternative fuel(which they probably are), then it's probably something that right now needs to be kept a secret.

This looks so funny! What kind of perspective are you playing? It's hard to tell, seeing all those things look the same.
