sorry dude it's not the rom i'm looking for, but thanks anyway.

i need a smb hack, which can open with a smb level editor.

a smb2(J) level editor would do the job too.

Please if anyone knows of either of these two please tell me. it's not on Zophar's and i can't find it with Google.

Maybe if i could create some kind of format-change patch between smb.nes and smb.fds, i could apply it to smb2(j).fds. Think that'd work? The only problem is i can't find smb.fds!

Is there a way of stopping the screen from scrolling when mario moves around on the main overworld map? Like on submaps. It's because my SMBTLL needs 13 maps, and nobody wants to see the sky of one map at the bottom of another!

i found that if you use colours 8 to F on the overworld, those colours will use colours 8 to F on the palette of the last level you were in.

e.g. if you use colour 6,9 on a rock on the OW and you set 6,9 to brown, and in a certain level, colour 6,9 is blue, then enter that level, come back out of the level, and the rock on the OW will be blue.

does that help?

Thanks someguy!

Placing the sprites is gonna be hard though because goombas and such appear on the screen a few blocks to the left of where they're placed, because they're moving before the player sees them.

it's possible to enter notes from a MIDI file to the game, but apparently it's very difficult, and the chances are the you won't get the result you wanted.

And about the BG: it depends on which game it came from.
open the game with yy-chr (my choice of GFX editors). if you can see some of the tiles clearly, it means the GFX are uncompressed, and you can use them for SMW. find the 8x8 tiles used to make the BG, if all of the tiles fill up only half the screen (16 horiz. and 8 vert. 8x8 tiles), just copy them into an ExGFX file, and insert them to your ROM. pick a level and set BG to the ExGFX file you just made. You then have to make all the 16x16 tiles to contain the 8x8s, and then you can copy the 16x16 tiles to the BG editor window. i assume you know how to work with the palettes.

Actually it doesn't really matter. The mario in SMW jumps a lot higher that the mario in SMB anyway.

Or i could just make every level an ice level, right? But then again, walking on ice, and playing as Luigi don't handle the same. I think i'll just try and find the address for his "brakes". In a day, i was already able to find a few (useless) addresses by practicing with the corruptor, like changing the music played upon dying and stuff like that. Thanks for that about the velocity change thing by the way.
