LordLazer, i, and a few other people, are assembling a tutorial on absolutely everything about SMW Hacking. i'm doing the GFX tutorial, which will explain everything about GFX, ExGFX, ripping, drawing, assembling and more, in a simple, easy-to-understand context.

anyway back on topic! there WILL be new levels in this game. just like the upgraded SMB1, it will have all of the original levels plus the maximum amount of new levels. in the end it will have 16 worlds with 6 levels each. credit goes to Googie, Shadic, and Frank15 for letting me rebuilt the levels from their SMB NES hacks into this hack!

enough about SMB4 guys, i haven't even started making it yet. when i do, i'll make a screenshot thread, and you can argue about the name all you want.
@Raccoon_86: sorry i meant to say Raccoon Luigi in the first place.
@Ikuzou: look a few pages down for the SMB1 thread. the overworld of TLL will be a rearranged version of that, and i might change the trees and things to make them look like they do in SMA4's e-world. |

a lot of people have pointed that out before yes. and i'll give you the same answer i gave them: i'm making these so that people will practically be able to hack the SMAS games with Lunar Magic. that's it, just so that other hackers can make good games. i never lock my hacks.

1st screen: doesn't load for some reason
2nd screen: beautiful! i love the BG palette! all the bad guys fit in well, and those bricks look kinda cool!
3rd screen: looks very nice too. interesting BG and a suitable palette. it's great what you've done with the ground, a nice alternation of the green one.
4th screen: the BG looks cool.
5th screen: i can't really say i like anything here.
6th screen: looks great, cool floor, and i think the BG fits in well.
Overall it looks fantastic! i can't wait to see more of this.
PS i agree with Shadow about the SMB2 Mario. |

| Ice Man, i'll look into loading the first screen, i'm not really sure why it doesn't load. okay sure i'll give you the SMB2 Mario (you could just rip it from the demo i released on the Ice Board) but i should remind you of something: in SMB2, Mario can't swim or fly or do anything special, so you'll need to hand draw seperate GFX to accommodate situations like that. i'll get back to you on which ones exactly you'll need to draw. | |||

| 1. Find the button on the top which makes all the paths go green and press it. 2. Layer 2 tiles have nothing to do with mario's paths. Mario's paths are on layer one and can be changed in the layer 1 editor. nothing is hardcoded. | |||

| lets say for a minute they ARE seperate sprites, and the sprite was somehow changed to a green shell, would the shell that mario shoots from his hand travel along the ground straight, or would it bounce up and down like the fireball? also, would it break when it hits into a wall, or would it bounce like a normal shell? basically what i'm asking is, would changing the sprite number just change the GFX or would it change its behaviour too? | |||

| ah i know what this is, it was i huge glitch in one of my hacks (the GFX hack), i fixed it now though. here's how you can fix it too: open a switch palace/bonus level, open the 16x16 editor, go find the switches on the first page, pick one, and set its act like setting to number of the 16x16 tile. repeat with the rest. by the way, i'm rereleasing that hack in a few weeks. | |||
