| Excellent work Aioria! The GFX in this hack still amaze me just as much as they did when i couln't rip! I like the happy faces on everything, feels a bit like Sunny Side World! A suggestion though: i think my SMB3 mario could fit in a bit better here, maybe you should try it out: http://www.freewebs.com/peter_ac/m3gfx.zip and @keikonium: that background is available for download on my site. |

| a good idea is to try to make multiple animations using the same slot. eg if you want to animate 4 tiles, insted of using 4 different single 8x8 slots, use 1 slot with ''4 8x8s: line'' Using this method, i was able to use 0x10 slots before the top 8x8 tiles on the screen started to flicker. The flickering doesn't really matter though IMO. (edited by peter_ac on 04-03-05 11:24 PM) (edited by peter_ac on 04-03-05 11:24 PM) |

| Eggvine won't open for me. some ''bad error'' keeps happening. Am i missing a .dll? Alternatively are there any other good YI editors out there? PS sorry if there's already a thread about this, but i don't come to this forum very often at all, and i couldn't find anything after doing a quick search. |

| You played a demo? when? did i give you one? yeah the map, and all of mario's GFX are fixed. i'll do my best to replace the W4 sprites. i have plans for a few, like using mechakoopas for Goombas, since they's the same size. What's the muppets got to do with SMB3?!? |

| The program opens, and asks me to load my rom, then when i click on Yoshi's Island, a popup appears saying ''bad error occured'' or something like that. i recall someone mentioning a few months ago saying that there were a few .dlls missing from the program, and he (or she) gave a link to those .dlls. Maybe my problem is that i'm using the European version of the ROM. That's why i can't try out your SMW2+, cause you obviously used the USA version. But i can't find the USA version, any where. |

| i get problem 3) also. It's a real pain in the ass, but it only happens in a few areas, like the city (or what ever it is) I think it's something to do with the video card- not that there's anthing wrong with it, it's just it's not powerfull enough. That would also explain your first 2 problems, although i don't recall experiencing any problems with ZMM. |

| What episode is the one where Bowser goes through a pipe to somewhere (i think it was brooklyn) and Mario and Luigi follow him to stop him. Then Peach and Toad send a treasure chest full of powerups through the pipe. Luigi gets a leaf, Mario gets a fire flower, and Luigi carries Mario into the air and Mario throws fireballs at Bowser. I know it was SMB3, but i can't seem to remember which episode it was... Anyone know? |

| Well there are only a few giant land objects and sprites: 1. smashable brick: i'm not sure about these yet. I'll probably just combine 4, and graphically make it look like one. 2. question blocks: good question! excuse the pun!) 3. Pipes: no problem here, just GFX changes needed, adding an extra line of 16x16 tiles to the side. 4. Goombas: As i said, mechakoopas. 5. Giant koopas: i have no idea. 6. Solid blocks and clouds, just GFX changes. 7. Hammer Bros: i have problems with the regular ones, it's a bit too soon to worry about the giant ones! I get the feeling i'm forgetting a few. I vaguely recall a giant pirhana plant, but i'm not sure. Remind me of what i'm forgetting if you can think of any more... | |||

| I'm not a big fan of RLM. I'm not going to use it. I'll play through it, and i'll be able to tell what it is once i come across it. | |||

| i realise this is slightly off topic (by one number actually!) but i don't want to start a new thread/poll just for this question: Which Overworld do you guys think i should use in my SMB hack?? 1. SMW-style overworld (which was in my previous original release of SMB1) or.. 2. SMB3-style Overworld (which unfortunately won't be able to show whether it's night or day) And also, should it contain raccoon mario or caped mario? i have both to use. | I think ExGFX are the most important thing in a hack, by far. Quirks is the least. | |||

| I agree Deszi, level design is EXTREMELY important, and i wish i could design levels by myself. But i still think ExGFX tops the list. Usually the only reason i download other hacks is to admire the ExGFX! Quirks and anything else that makes a hack difficult, i don't like at all. | |||

| Yeah kris i mean SMB1. I'll make a poll about it tomorrow instead, along with some illustrative screens. @smwedit: yet another great idea! I might just use that. Yoshi will be hidden in a few different parts of the game. | |||

| Well i suppose day/night is an issue in SMB1. And i prefer the cape anyway. I'll go with you on this, skate. Eh Master M? What a ya talking about? This isn't Shadow and Raccoon_86's hack. They replaced Yoshi with kuribo's shoe, not me. |
