When i first joined the board a few months ago, the Mario Legends Snapshot thread was the first thing i saw, and my jaw hit the floor! This is the very hack to give me the inspiration to learn to rip! Man, ya have to continue this! It's an excellent hack! I'd love a demo if it too.

Pretty bad prank anyway. VGMusic had a good prank though. the ONE day i go lookin for midi for my site, they swapped all the Donkey Kong Country midi with the Yoshi's Island midi! It took me about half an hour just to find the Yoshi's Island castle midi! That Bork prank sucked too!

@smwedit: or i could just tick the "no entry when level passed" box. What will happen though is when a level is passed, the tile will turn into a M square. @gunk...whatever: that wouldn't look good unless i can figure out how to change his walking speed on the OW.

Everything you see on the OW is on layer 2. Everything on layer 1 is invisible. Those layer 2 coins have layer 1 pipes (invisible) under them. And if you don't give a pipe a destination, it just acts as a "stepping stone" and you can't enter it. That's also why there's no "beep" as you step on it. But there's nothing i can do about that. I don't think it matters too much anyway.

Does anyone know the offset that changes which sprite jumps out of a shell a few seconds after the shell is hit by a block from below? I want nothing to come out.

Okay thanks Joker. I'd also hate to see my 160 reply thread get closed. Very appropriate speech. Okay let that be it. @kris: the mushroom hut is going to involve a random way of picking an item. It won't involve any ASM, but it will work as well as it did in the original.
