A 5-run 7th inning is what happened. Mussina's perfect game was broken up with some clutch hits.

--Edit--
NM, dem damn Yankees won.

The only "ray of hope" is if they can maul El Duque, Brown, or Mussina (I see him going again)...Pedro + Curt = 9 innings, bunch of hits, high ERA, plus Schilling might be done for the year. That ankle is messed up, I think he's done for the year. Everything is back on Pedro, yay... Sox are done... That means the world series will likely be

St Louis Cardinals vs New York Yankees

Cardinals bash the Yanks in 5.

Yankees won game 3, final score 19-8?! No help from the Green Monster on this night. One game away from being swept out of the ALCS. Can anyone say "blowout?"

History has been made! The Red Sox, after being down 3-0 in the ALCS, have forced a game 7. This is the first time in history that has happened. I think Schilling's quote from game 1 applies tonight. PWN!

..............But I think the Yankees are still gonna win the series, evil bastards that they are.

Game 7, 8:15 pm CDT on Wednesday! An incredible series thus far. But of course, Yanks vs Sox, how can it NOT come down to game 7?

The Yankees do have that come from behind record ya know, they didn't get it sitting on their asses. 61 times they came back from behind to win in the regular season, 2 times so far in the playoffs.

Give Derek Lowe a little credit too, he pitched a gem of a game. He shut down A-Rod, Sheffield, Jeter, and Matsui. That's hard to do.

Do you have the most recent version of the 64th note? And, what version of winamp?

--Edit--
Hiryuu, you reminded me of something else. There were a couple rips that were redone after the initial rip. Some stupid errors or conflicts with the 64th note. You may also want to re-download the rip of OoT, just to be certain.

Or would it turn out english? I have a friend who can read japanese so I don't need a translating book or w/e. I just need to know if all I need is a hex editor. If there's anything you need, please tell me.

You would need to find the font, and the hex values that match up with them. There is no standard for what value = what letter. Copy the text down, so it can be translated, open up the rom in a tile editor, find the font, and replace as you see fit. That's how I would do it, not sure if that's smiled or frowned upon. After you are done, you can make a table to note the changes. How the DTE is done, I dunno.

The Red Sox are now up 3-0 in the series. Now unless the Cardinals can do what the Red Sox had just done in the previous series, the Red Sox, after 86 years will finally win the World Series.

Pedro pitched a gem, and pitched himself out of jams. Watching him bat was pretty hilarious too.

Ok then, here's the big question. Do the Cardinals get swept?

I don't think so, for the longest time I have said that the Cardinals would win the series this year. Right now, that prediction isn't looking too good. The Cardinals are too good to get swept, but then again, I had them winning the series. *shrug* At most, 6 games.

The current trend has continued true, this is the third consecutive year a wild card team has won the World Series. Angels in 2002, Marlins in 2003, and now the Red Sox in 2004.

...on progress anyway. Granted, it doesn't seem like anybody here really pays attention to Jade (except dormento) but hey, whatever.

Some code optimizing in a couple editors, and gave the character editor a cosmetic tweak.

Oh yes, the formations editor can now change palettes, like so:

The text editor now displays pretty much everything, and I'm beginning to outright hate the Prototype translation... *grabs rant at TEK*
Argh, I'm beginning to not like the Prototype translation... There are some vast differences between it and Demi's translation.

Dialogue is done quite differently... example...
Prototype: To signify the end of a dialogue string, it uses 0A or 00. 0A prevents some character bleeding, but both are used. Quite strange.
Demi: It has one null terminating string, 00. No if's, and's, or but's about it.

Prototype: Line breaks are done strangely, it uses a pair of 09 bytes. It appears that each instance is only half of a linebreak, it needs two for the full effect.
Demi: Line breaks are done with 01, nuff said.

Prototype: It can use DTE in battle *jealous*
Demi: It can't.

But, in my discoveries, something else has popped up. Initially when I was testing to see what bytes were used to display named characters, there are two different types.
07 <-- that will get the name of the character in the 4th slot.
13 02 <-- that will get the name of the character in the 4th slot.

Both work for both translations. I haven't done too much testing with this, but I see no drawbacks from using the 07 over the 13 02.

That's all for now...yay. *forgets, lack of FF2 wub here*

It involves rom hacking, I don't have any screenshots, but this is showing progress as time goes by. I'm about about Jade of course. It was updated to v0.10. Here are the details:

  • Yay, tenths digit for version number. *fanfare*

  • Misc.: Apparently the palette file wasn't entirely accurate. So it has been updated. *shrug* The old one was FFHackster's palette file, in case anyone is curious.

  • Character Editor: Minor cosmetic tweak.

  • Formation Editor: Figured out how palettes are displayed (in battle) and are now editable. Note that the monsters that are a whole pattern table will use both palettes regardless. You can also change the palettes themselves.

  • Currently, changing a color of a palette will be pseudo permanent. If you wish to revert back to the old color, avoid saving, exit and re-open Jade. (Or just change it back, whichever works for you.)

  • Spells Editor: That little issue with palette's has been solved, animation's are all that remain now.

  • Text Editor: As of now, just about everything displays for dialogue. I've also discovered that the Prototype translation has massive conflicts with Demi's translation. However, since there's an issue with keywords in dialogue, and character name's are yet to be displayed, I still recommend against saving any dialogue changes.

  • Weapon Editor: Figured out what weapons use what palettes, and some weapons don't have palettes. ("Unarmed" and every shield.) NOW, I just need to enable editing the in-battle graphic of each weapon.

I think I kinda snuck it in there, do enjoy though.

I guess I should face it, there's no such thing as "kudos" or "wub" or anything along that lines at this forum. =p Oh well... I do have a screenie though...

Now, that's not what should be drawn. It should be the tile layout, similar to the screenie on the right. (Which is Hackster, if you don't know.) =\ I have located the TSA data, but the format is being annoying, as most things have been with this game...

Found and cracked, thanks a great deal to TFG.

$10-$110: tile properties (this I've had for a long while)
$110-$310: TSA properties, follows the palette format. add $80 to get to the next piece of the tile. ($110, $190, $210, $$290)
$310-$390: world tile palette bytes. format as follows... 0 = palette 0, 55 = palette 1, AA = palette 2, FF = palette 3. I think the sprite palettes are the other 4 palettes.
$390-$3B0: world map colors (had for about 4 days)

Hopefully I can get this drawn and editable before long...yeah right. (two months down the road is more likely...)
