If the owners are the ultimate loser, then it'll probably because a team or two was retracted. That won't save the game. If it's the players, then there were some crazy cap issues that they agreed to. That might help, but it won't save the game either. Let's assume for a moment that the 05-06 season starts on time. The game needs some changes if they want the fans to come back. What do you think they should do to get the fans back? I'll go first: 1: Lower ticket prices, they're higher priced than Red Sox tickets... 2: Give emphasis for winning. I believe it's 2 points per win, and 1 per tie for the current system. Needs a slight revamp. 3: Get a TV contract. Right now, I think everyone can watch the first three weeks of the season, and then then playoffs. That's easily, the rest of the season might be non-existant to tv viewing. 4: Do something about the fighting, I don't have hockey for the fights. I watch for the win. Like Herm Edwards says, "we play to win the game!" That's all I can think of for now. What do think of the ideas? And please give some, the sport itself is on life support. |

| Game on? I've been watching ESPNEWS since about 9 pm Central (cause TV really sucks on Friday's) and breaking news... The NHL is set to un-cancel the season Saturday. That can only mean that a deal has been reached...  |

If you've played Metroid Fusion, you might know about the "secret message" you can view if you do some crazy trick not long after beating Nightmare.  This is the best piece of absolute randomness I've ever witnessed, and I originally thought it was going to be total crap. Seriously, Sunday night's, 10:30 pm CDT on Adult Swim. Voices include Seth Green, Seth MacFarlane, Mark Hamill, Kurtwood Smith, and I don't know who else does. The credits role by so quickly, but man, this is newly struck oil that Cartoon Network is making. WATCH! |

Although, they've also been showing some college games, which don't really tickle my fancy. There's also some of the Wild games dating back to the team's re-inception in 2001. Since Gary Bettman and Co. are gonna go on a "he said-he said" deal, I say that he is dumped, Goodenow is dumped, and we start again with a clean slate.   Last night, (and it was frusterating), I started making a layout for myself. When I did my first preview, Gato did not display at all. It wouldn't be until I actually made the changes final did he display. And then, he wasn't where he should be. Well, after that, I tweaked the CSS a bit, and this happened:  Afterwards, I would remove all aligning tags, and this problem would not go away at all. It wouldn't be until tonight that it was fixed. (Do notice that the layout isn't up yet, so let's stay on the real topic.)

| This board shouldn't even allow BMP's to be posted as images. Hell, for that matter, BMP's over the internets should be prohibitted. Really peple, Zsnes can do PNG screenshots, Irfanview is free, many people have Photoshop. Is it that hard? Note that this is a rhetorical question... As for the hack, please try to throw in some originality. I don't think I want to download a hack of a game I've played about a couple hundred thousand times already. Please... That's my two cents. |

| The long project that King Lettuce and myself have worked on for so long is now ready for release. This is a hack of the widely hated game, Final Fantasy 2. This hack is more meant for those that didn't originally like the game, because this fixes the vast majority of balance issues with the game. Unfortunately, I don't have any screenshots of the hack, but graphically there weren't any changes. If you know what the graphics of FF2 are already (or FF1 for that matter) then you already know what you'll see graphically. This hack is more of a core change than anything. Make sure to read the directions at the bottom of this page. If you need to get your rom updated to v1.03, Jade has the patches in its download. You can alternatively get the hack at the Rom Hack Archive. Do enjoy, a lot of work went into this. |
