I'm starting to notice some variation, but not in details such as this. Just tonight I found out the Prologue isn't in the same spot for v.93, v1.0, and v1.03 of Demi's translation. It's in a different spot as well for the Prototype...fun! Thankfully, pointers have not been in different locations. On a side note...
I'm guessing that walking speed is a part of what you mentioned. If it isn't, that'll have to be taken into consideration as well. Gotta keep an eye on palettes as well, but that might be in the map data. Thanks for the info, I'll test this out tomorrow. |

Originally posted by drjayphd Well, I'll take a guess. I believe that the DTE is still programmed for the Japanese language. So it's trying to stack the characters vertically. That.....obviously doesn't work in the English language. To fix, you'd need to find the battle routine (that'd be my guess) and change what is needed. PS. You may have some luck finding the battle routine in the Prototype translation of FF2. I say that because DTE was enabled in battles... Find that, then you may get a head start. But, you might have better luck ripping apart FF1. *shrug*
Since the battle routine only has one song to refer to, there is no special code that would check for a different song. It simply loads the battle music. Although, I have no idea how music is handled, hell, I have no idea on most of what I'm to in this response. =\ *hides* |

And it all resides in this thread. One member whines about double postage, one staff member closes it, a second staff member reopens the thread, a third staff member closes it, then immediately re-opens it, probably because said staff member didn't finish reading the post... Who needs daytime television? Or the WWE? This is perfect. ![]() Come on everyone, play nice. I would play antagonist, but I think too many people are (for the wrong reason anyway) pissed off about the subject. At least most of us can get a good laugh out of this tomorrow when nobody cares. ![]() |

| Well, what size do the CD's hold? 4x doesn't say anything. They'll either be 650 or 700 megabytes. If they have been burned once, and finalized, you won't be able to use it again for burning purposes. If they are new, then they are fresh. Also, are they meant for DVD burning, or CD burning? Nero is capable for both, and you might have selected the wrong type to burn. Make sure you check that. Also, when burning, don't do anything. Less chance that the buffer will cause problems. Does that help? If nothing else, upgrade your Nero software, or get new software altogether. *shrug* |

Something I missed as wellOriginally posted by Karadur CD's have a hard time burning at max capacity. Realisitically, you probably have about 78 minutes of audio to burn, and it'll probably bug you to finalize it. The problem could also be that you are using rewritables instead of one timers for this situation. Just something to consider... As for software, I'm not aware of others, you could try this google search. |

| Bad color on dark background... hard to read text. As for the hack... the inside castle screenies look too plain, I'll take a look at the hack and give more of a review. --Edit-- After loading this thread 5 times, NOW it displays the white background... Mind telling me what I need to patch this to? Three different roms, three fKitten Yiffers. (edited by Lenophis on 11-12-04 03:32 AM) (edited by Lenophis on 11-12-04 04:05 AM) |

(I've actually gotten it done with that set up, but couldn't reverse it afterwards. )But, I can tell you this... 1) You want the setup to look like this: xx--xx--xx--15 xx--xx--xx--14 2) You'll never need to touch 1-8. 3) Try to get it to look like this: 09--10--11--12 15--13--14--__ or 09--10--11--12 14--15--13--__ If it is the first, then: move 12 down move 11 right move 14 up move 15 and 13 right move 9 down move 10 left move 15 up move 13 left move 14 down move 10 right move 9 up move 13 and 14 left move 15 down move 11 left move 12 up puzzle solved If it is the second, then: move 12 down move 11 right move 13 up move 14 and 15 right move 9 down move 10, 13, and 11 left move 12 up move 14 and 15 right move 13 down move 10 right move 9 up puzzle solved I hope it helps |

| Ok, let's try this again. After doing a LOT of reading, I've determined that you are correct in your first post. This is gonna take a whole resuffle to solve. You might get lucky and not have to touch the top row, but I'm thinking every tile needs to be moved. Judging by your post, you know what you are doing. I'd say, you don't have to touch the top row, and you might get away with not having to touch 5. I'm less help now. |

Love my vagueness with title names? So do I, that's what gets everyone to read....ANYWAY...There are three rank sets, I was wondering if it's allowed to submit one to be added? I'm currently working on one, not quite finished yet. But, if it is, how many do I need? Too many "?'s" to count. |
