Gaia was a hypothesis by a James Lovelock about the interconnectedness of all things on Earth and something about a planetary consciousness thingy... Or at least a way the world has for adapting to changes seemingly as one. At least that's what I've gathered from the SimEarth strategy guide I have for some reason. Sedna... I was thinking it was like the opposite of Andes or something. Still... Cool that there's another planet. Perhaps this'll turn out better than Quaoar did. Edit: The post by (Apophis?) mentioning naming planets like Stargate was talking about the naming system of things like P3X-189 or things like that. (edited by Skreename on 03-15-04 08:55 PM) |

JaCory: Everywhere got Pokemon Green. Japan got Pokemon Blue, which we didn't. I have to say that Europe does get the short end of the stick. That's too bad... Some great games are developed there (Worms...). |

Destiny Smasher: Interesting, considering SA2:B has 180 emblems, not 120. Still cool, though. GBA games in textbooks? Eep. Any game that is a TV show-game conversion will typically be pretty bad. Especially game show ones. Especially American Idol. |

Notice how he ignores every other post, in favor of responding to the only ones that DON'T have the answers. For another question: Is it possible to make Ceres in the game load the common graphics (ie doors, powerups, etc)? I switched it to load a different graphics set, but it just takes the tileset specific graphics... This also leaves no transparent graphics, as all that would be have garbage on them. |

Compliment and a stupid question. Compliment: Looks incredible so far. The sewers... Just wow. Amazing detail... Looks like an SNES game, but with the NES color depth. Same Mario 1 colors, too. Stupid question: Is there any possibility that the seasons may be in the game, just as... Like, color and slight graphic changes, with no impact on gameplay? Any direction you take the game is bound to be great, but extra eye candy never hurts... Even if in only 1 level. |

Technically, they took both the American and Japanese names and gave them to the other side, leaving the US with Robotnik->Eggman, and Japan to Eggman->Robotnik. (Take note of the fact that the only of the old games to actually have text identifying Robotnik is Spinball. All of the others identify him as Eggman, or not at all.) Robotnik does sound cooler than Eggman, though. |

As far as I know, in Japan, Eggman never had the whole accident dealy. He was just always... Unexplained. If you follow the Adventure games, his name never changed... He was always (something) Robotnik, like his grandfather. His motives... Revenge, perhaps for his grandfather's death? (Poor Robotnik/Eggman... Getting caught up in all of these attempts to destroy the world, when all he wants is to rule it... Just look at Chaos, Shadow, and Gizoid, from Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Battle, respectively) |

(In this case, he's referring to the original Demo World, not TLC. This level is in TLC as the Crystal Fortress, if I understand correctly) Okay, what you do is: Get the checkpoint a short distance before the mondo lava pit. Then kill yourself. When you reenter, you'll start on the opposite side. |

...Wait... How do people accidentally hit Caps Lock? That's a rather... Big slip. Unless they're using some odd keyboard. Like the Microsoft Natural (? Whichever that curved one it)... In case not understood: I vote no. Or indifferent. One or the other. It's not like the key is THAT easy to accidentally hit. Hmm... If the Caps Lock was taken out, what'd replace it? Things could only get worse. |

We didn't get the Japanese FFIV Easytype. Their Easytype is a dumbed-down version of ours. Meaning, not only can we not play hard games, but apparently they can't either (!!!). They did cut out the Developer's Room, though. Spell names are so... insignificant. If they want to give us names that are real words, good for them. Although... Some are kind of weird. Meh... Limiting cussing doesn't do much of anything to me. It's not like leaving it in really enhances the mood or anything. It's only when they take out semi-important details (Kefka's grudge against Leo, for instance) that it bothers me. |

CT for me... How many other games do you get to have an old English-speaking frog in your party? Time traveling was fun, too... Clockworkz: FFIII you're talking about is most likely FFVI. They changed the numbers to make FF1, IV, and VI seem like a coherent sequence. |

I rather like Hyrule Castle, Peach's Castle, and Saffron City. Hyrule had the variety, while Peach's castle was pretty interesting in its own right, and Saffron had probably the best obstacle. That, and they're not at all similar to levels in Melee. I don't have a clue why they put the boring Kongo Jungle, Dream Land, and Yoshi's Island levels in Melee... After all, they were awfully similar to Battlefield already. |

PSO PC was (keyword: WAS) made and run by Sonic Team, but the official servers were taken down a while ago. There are plenty of fan-servers, and the software to run one yourself is not too hard to find... Although the main sites I know of for them are dedicated almost entirely to cheating, so... |
