I'm hoping to get answers here, so, to repeat what I sent to Kawa:

Kawa-san,

I have a few problems with your software. First off, RS Ball. When I try to insert a bitmap file over Landon's large pic graphics, it partially overwrites May's image. I know that the bitmap should work (16 colors, 64x64 pixels). As far as Landon's image goes, it's fine, but May's always comes out as the last trainer viewed with her palette. I tried importing her image over the glitched graphics, but that just screws up Landon's pic in the bottom-right corner.
I get the same problem with PokePic. When I dump the graphics to a GBA file, I can't import them again. There, it says the file is 314 bytes (compressed), when it should be 312.
As far as I know, my ROM is clean. It worked with the Obsidian patch, and I can get everything but RS Ball and PokePic to work with it. Please help me. Thank you.

So can anyone help me?

First, don't dump to GBA files in PokePic, it causes artifacts to appear in the image.
Last I checked, that's the only filetype that PokePic could dump to. Should I change it to a .BIN extension? And what do you mean by "artifacts"?

Second, if both PokePic AND RS-Ball don't work, it must be a too-big image. Reduce the detail to compress tighter.
Like I said, the images I'm importing are the proper color depth and size. How do I reduce the detail?

PokePic can export to GBA format binary files OR PNG/GIF/BMP images. The buttons are right there.

Oh yeah, those...

Detail level
Lossless compression like the GBA's LZ77 work better when there's not too much detail. For example, if you snip Ratatta's whiskers or make Pikachu's cheeks yellow, they'll compress tighter, taking less space.
Geh, but I like high detail...
Eh, no big deal, I guess. Thanks, Kawa.

Cool, but how does this work? From what I gather, it's the last color in the last palette, but what byte (R,G,B)?

I looked at Lunar Magic, I see what you mean now. I\'ll work that out myself.
If I could make a suggestion, though; add some more generators. Like the stationary/random bullet bill shooters. It\'d be great to have, say, banzai bills coming at you randomly (though insanely difficult to play). Or just have it do something silly, like plop fish into the level.
At any rate, this kills one more barrier for less skilled hackers with great ideas.
Thank you.
