So, I remember talking about user numbers in IRC while the board was down, and I don't see any threads about them now. This is a wrong that must be righted! *makes decisive motions* Anyway, I'm now 127. This number utterly rocks, for it is 1111111 in binary. It's like being user 999, only in binary, and binary is oh so much better than decimal. Anyone else care to brag? (edited by ||bass on 03-14-04 08:58 PM) |

*cackles* Hehe, this was the second thing I thought to do after registering. Welcome back Losties! ...Has anyone checked other numbers yet? (edited by Squash Monster on 03-14-04 09:01 PM) |

I was just playing Super Star Saga, for I've yet to finish it. Most likely becouse the battle system gets tedious for me and I don't touch it for days on end. (edited by Squash Monster on 03-14-04 09:01 PM) |

1) Hammer suit > *.*. 2) Shoe. Slightly less ownagy becouse it's harder to use. No anti-fireball sheild either. 3) Tanooki. It's funny. (edited by Squash Monster on 03-14-04 09:01 PM) |

I normally like the little guy, but Luigi irks me. Mario also is farther from the typical hero, becouse he's shorter and heavier. Mario wins. (edited by Squash Monster on 03-14-04 09:01 PM) |

Kyouji, I managed to weasel my way around using large mario plus Yoshi almost everywhere without using any glitchy stuffs. I still don't like this hack though, everything's so crowded and random seeming. |

I don't know if anyone came up with this before, but I suddenly decided to make some smilies for an old crazy idea of mine. This idea is to have smilies of the ^_~ / / / <_> style be generated from halves of their faces. The reasoning behind this, if one could call it reasoning, is that one could make strange smilies for certain situations or just for the sake of frankensmilyness. And here are some example smilies for the idea. (and the text I had in mind while making them: x - ^ \ / ' ~ |

Ah, I was thinking it would only work if you had two recognized symbols around an underscore. I can't imagine it causing more problems than current smiles do sometimes that way. However, [smile][/smile] probably would work even better (perhaps even for other smiles, for that matter).

Originally posted by Tuvai I thought of those two things, actually. The smilies I made are all based on the 15x ones, and they all have the middle pixel collumn included... trimming that collumn from one half would be easy enough. I couldn't think of a better solution than multiple images for the color thing, though ([sm=red]-_~[/sm]). And yay, people like my crazy idea! . |

The little bug where you can bash through water proved rather useful, hehe. I found a much simpler way to do many of the levels than was probably intended. For example, "detour" (I think) took me two bashers, a digger, and a blocker, when it looked intended for a plethora of blockers. In level 11, I set the speed up to the highest before starting. Only a few need to be diggers that way. |

Bah, asprin's right, as per usual. Nerds make fun of preps as much as the reverse, this thread is a prime example. The difference is that "nerd" is a division including intelligent people and those who can't socially adapt. Preppy folks either are too dumb to care (or remember, or whatever) what the nerds think or (and like it or not, this is the more common of the two) know how to laugh it off. I'd make a long rant about how these distinctions between people are fully artificial, but I'm tired and you nerd-dork-punk-goth-wannabe-emo-jock-prep-metalhead-grunge- proletariate-borgeousie-noble-commoner-patrician-plebian -technophile-geeks probably wouldn't understand it anyway. An alternative to storing dates would be storing a bit (I'm assuming you can do that, I wouldn't know, but bits should be smaller than dates) for each user per thread. However, this is going to cause the server to have to do more work, since it would have to set that bit for everyone every time someone posted (and once every time someone viewed a thread, but that's negligable). Don't really know if that'd be much better, though.

Porn = less hormones to burn. Less hormones = not wanting to have sex with everything that moves Hentai = porn without objectifying anyone. So I like hentai, to a degree. There are limits, of course. For example, tentacle rape is bad. Consentual sex with tentacle creatures, on the other hand, is arousing.
