Demos are good to guage the process of a hack, both for the hacker and the downloader. It's good to get opinions on the game in motion, rather than stationary screenshots.

However, tons of demos for a single hack are not necessary.

If someone knows how to actually USE the ASM hacks you've implemented, I don't know if they would bother stealing them. And graphics are always a major concern, because there is no way to prevent someone from stealing them if they want to, but I haven't had a problem with that yet and I don't know if you would either.

The problem with that reasoning is that you can easily determine what part of the "cheese" you need to go in before you die a couple times figuring it out. The same is not true for blind mazes.

I stuck a lot of opportunities in my hack for extra lives, such as Dragon Coins and almost an obscene amount of coins. I don't think there are any places where you can trap a turtle shell for infinite lives, but I could be mistaken.

Just use the Super GFX bypass on a level you aren't currently using to edit the OW graphics.

If someone who has the information regarding the offsets of where the status bar data is and some useful knowhow in editting it, I would greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: Fixed what I meant. Can mods edit thread titles? If so, please change scroll to status.

Actually, damn it, I meant to type status bar. I even screwed it up the first time I typed it and though I was fixing it...

I know that BMF knows where the data is, because he has editted it for his hack. I think he might have even posted it on the boards before the crash, but I'm not certain about that.

Really, it's just an edit of the old title screen to fit the theme of the newest world I'm working on. I changed the demo level to go along with this idea. I think I'm going to do that for every demo I release (I am going to finish at least 2 more worlds before the next demo, though), just to vary things up a little bit. The final version will have a completely unique title theme that doesn't match with anything else in the hack.

Also, you can see that I changed the font quite a bit, which I think makes it look that much more spiffy. It's still a work in progress, like mose of my graphics, so various changes are likely to happen. Let me know what you think, as always.

If I keep the old title screen, a lot of people are going to make the mistake that entire world is happy themed, which really isn't the case. Bear in mind that this isn't the final title screen, it is only the title screen for the current demp. Since the theme of it's levels will mostly be dreary, the title screen should reflect that.

The white dots are the bottom part of a cloud.
