To be honest, that looks kinda fun to play. There's no obviously glitches or bugs, most of the palettes are fine (I'd personally touch those up a little more so there's not such harsh differences in colors in some places), and the level design doesn't look TOO impossible. I'll give it a try later when I'm not at work.

I'm a little confused. Is it highlighting in blue while you play the game, or just in the Overworld editor? If the latter, these guys probably already hit the nail on the head, but if it's the former, it could be any number of issues. Please be more specific.

Okay, I played through the first world just now. The levels are fairly well made, but as I thought, the palettes could use some work. Which isn't to say I didn't like some of them, but others can use some real work.

You should design levels for JAMH for me.

Try changing the initial background position setting too, in Modify Main and Midway Entrance.

I would guess that you probably have the graphics file saved in the wrong format. Post up your ExGFX file so that we might look at it and better guage your problem.

Change it on the Super GFX Bypass list, using a custom tileset (and thus enabling the bypass) will force whatever is in the bypass over what's in the header.

Do we need to get into this argument again? What it boils down to is a moderator has a position of authority (whether they deserve it or not is something we can debate at another time) and while their word isn't law, speaking from the capacity of a moderator for a forum should incur a certain amount of respect. Pete, god bless him, is not a moderator, and thus has no right or responsibility to presume to tell others how to behave any where on the board.

You're exactly right with this point, but perhaps you should reread the rules? Here's a link directly to the subject in question. Look at number 12 on the Don'ts. Whether you agree or not, that's a pretty cut and dry violation on pete's part by all the standards accepted by the current staff.

With the recent interest in Super Mario Land 2, I figured I'd try my hand at porting some of the graphics over. This is the first part of the set I've got just about done, tell me what you think.



I still gotta port over the different blocks, I figure I'll tackle that and then begin work on the background. Opinions and comments are encouraged, as always.

If you wanted to completely remove the switch blocks, you would either need to locate the code in the ROM that displays it (you'd be on your own for this unless someone who actually hacks comes in here to help) or just remove the sprite's graphics from the GFX file.

What version are you using? If you don't know, pull up Lunar Magic, click on the Help menu option, and select About Lunar Magic.

FYI, the current version is 1.62.
