I guess it could be annoying when you're just trying to delete a couple of tiles and you have the entire canvas selected. Unless there's some key combo I'm missing, there isn't a way (besides, of course, pulling up the 16x16 editor and left clicking a tile. Which, really, is like way too hard for those of us on a time budget and only have 3 of the requisite 5 seconds to spare. ).

Well crap, why did I never know that? I bet it's just sitting pretty in the help file somewhere, laughing at my misfortune.

And really, I wasn't complaining, I was just trying to come up with a semi-logical reason for smwedit even caring about that feature of the BG editor. Cuz honestly, just using the method I said has worked just fine for the rare cases where I'm in the situation I described.

Edit: Yup, it's there.

The last word on general ASM (I hope): Anything that you've already seen done with the SNES hardware is possible with ASM hacking. No, we probably will not do it for you. We may point you in the right direction, such as helping you with a specific routine or giving you links to documents.

I agree with BMF, saying something as unhelpful as "Yeah, with ASM" will be treated as spam from here on out, at least by me. I will follow the normal disciplinary procedure if it comes to it.

You're fine, cpubasic, cuz you didn't just say "Yeah, with ASM". Even though you didn't get into specifics, you at least went into greater detail than pointing out the obvious. Saying what you did will generate replies that may actually help the original asker.

Personally, I really like the look of the trees in the screenshot in question. The only problem I see is that there is way too much empty space in the bottom portion. Ways to fix this are to add more doodads to that part of the background (hard to do, yeah, but possible) or to shift the entire thing downwards (a lot easier). I would recommend at least trying both to see which you like better.

It will work in the current version (1.62, and really, if you're using an earlier version, upgrade immediately).

I doubt I will bother locking my next demo. As Craw here said, there isn't much point if a determined thief could still your work regardless (and really, it was possible before RLM was released, it just required more work and some savestate ripping knowledge). And besides, doesn't it increase the size of the IPS file? I would think that it would, even if it is a small difference.

If you absolutely MUST continue an old conversation, create a new thread with all the pertinent info and a link to the old thread. There are certain situations where a bump would be the better option, of course. If you think this is the case, run it by one of us moderators before doing it.

I hear it's like every other Kirby game in existence: so easy it makes babies cry... unless you're going for 100% completion, which makes it about 500 times harder. Any truth to this?

If I were in your shoes, I would switch the leaves on the ground and the leaves on the trees around. I think it would look a lot better that way.

I'm sure if anyone could actually get the darn thing to work, they would. If you're having trouble creating a working IPS file, send someone trustworthy the entire rom and let them make it. Just don't post the link here.
