Prom cost $2 for me.

I'm not joking. Ticket was $50, take away $48 from fund-raising contributions... bingo.

Plus I needed to get a suit/etc. because I also had a wedding to attend as well. And that was a parental contribution since it was permanent.

Kefka: I had a wedding to attend in the summer along with grad night in June.

So it was killing two birds with one stone.

They have it on demo at the Future Shop downtown... but people usually just pass by it and look at their own likeness on the screen.

So yeah, it's considered a novelty more than anything I'd imagine.

I might look into it... Struck out on the WoW Beta so far, so maybe I'd have a shot here.

Plus I meet the recommended requirements so that's not a problem.

Um... yeah. A, B and Y all have unique functions in SMW. X can be used as an extra button for some functions but in reality you only need 3 buttons to play.

Well if you download a clean dump, odds are you won't find an intro on it.

I think the C64 and Amiga scenes were different - the groups then were programming effects and such that were miles ahead of what was actually being produced for the system.

Yeah, once... when it told me that my FAT was corrupted.

That helps but it's also not the thing you want to see on your screen, especially on a school night. ><

Canada's going to be watching this with some interest because our slogan now is: "ANYONE BUT BUSH".

Seriously, CTV had a poll done on how Canadians view America. Most people prefer the status quo or want relations to improve, but 82% of Canadians resent Bush.

I don't know how effectively MS can enforce that though. Palladium seems to be only included with a new wave of processors that will be eventually released, so as long as you don't have it... you're in the clear.

(And come on... people can find a way around EVERYTHING.)

It does have 64 MB...

I wrote my final paper in college on such a topic. Let me see if I can get a little bit of it for you...

Although there is no doubt that less-publicized incidents have occurred in society, psychologists started to find more concrete links between video games and violent tendencies in teenagers after the Columbine shootings in 1997. A large number of studies were performed which suggested that perhaps video game violence does have an effect on this new generation. The United States government

They must KNOW that I'm a man, as 95% of the spam I receive these days refers to cheap Viagra. (Of course, those are either placebo pills or pills with stuff in it that we shouldn't be taking. I'd guess the former at those prices. )

I heard that IE 6.05 (Windows Longhorn) has a pop-up stopping feature.

Teddylot: I think that would depend on the game. The studies I looked at when researching that assignment showed no conclusive evidence of video games improving gun skills. Simulators, sure - but not video games.

And like I said, Doom only let you aim from side to side. Unreal Tournament wasn't around then to practice head shots.

This one kid kept hitting the screen cause he thought he was supposed to, then the Best Buy guy came and yelled at him for fucking up their giant 50" TV

Now THERE'S some supreme idiocy for you. XD

50" TV... Broken... Ai ya, I'd hate to see the bill for that.

Luckily the Eyetoy demo here is shown on a TV that's 7-8 feet above the ground. The point gets across.
