Nobody gets that we're talking about Canada here, huh?

Bell's fine as long as you're close to a DSLAM. They must have installed one here since my speed went up from around 90kb to 200kb this summer. You can get up to 3Mbits.

Black and White and the expansion is sold for $15 bucks because the sequel is coming out next month.

Actually, I've seen B&W at anywhere from $10-$15 around here for at least two years.

Comcast might have some interests in Canada but they certainly don't offer cable or anything along those lines. No idea about Cox.

We really should start donating to the board. We have used this board for years, and loved it. I would think that we can donate some money in it's time of need.

It's unlimited but you just have to roll the dice to see if you're lucky speed-wise. There's been some horror stories of people who have been downgraded in speed by Bell for no apparent reasons.

But the PayPal story was not only sad, but hilarious as well. God forbid people are going to try to make a quick buck off of a charity drive, especially from a website which has a good track record regarding these kinds of things.

Hear me out here.

The premise: Using Football (that's SOCCER, people) Manager 2005, I load up all the European leagues included in the game (34) and toss 16 unsuspecting users (including myself, so really 15 spots) into the game world to see which of us can win trophies/championships and which of us will be floating from job to job, getting fired every couple of months. Every few months (game time) I'll post a little update showing how everyone's doing and who made a complete ass of themselves. Which is why this is in Craziness because I'm sure I can come up with ways some people are bribing the refs and such. Doesn't really fit anywhere else because it's not really... you know, interactive.

So if you're interested in taking part... well... this is all you have to do. Just fill out a form. No commitment after that, no extra things to do past this aside from read the thread. It couldn't be easier. We'll start at 16 in the game and then if things go well and if (God forbid) more people want to be in then I can add more managers to the game.

The form.

Name: (You could use your real name, your board name, something not too stupid... your choice. I'd prefer one of the first two options.)
Date of Birth: (Well this should be obvious.)
Nationality: (Again, fairly obvious.)
Favorite Team: (OPTIONAL. If there's a team you really like, then by all means put them in here. If not or you don't know anything, then leave it blank. Favorite team does NOT have to be the same as the starting team.)

Starting Team: Well, this is the big one.

Teams are available in the following competitions:

Austria: Bundesliga, 1. Liga
Belarus: Highest League, First League
Belgium: Eerste Klasse, Tweede Klasse
Bulgaria: "A" PFG, "B" PFG
Croatia: 1. HNL, 2. HNL
Czech Republic: Gambrinus Liga, Druha Liga

Denmark: Superligaen, First Division
England: Premiership, Championship, League One, League Two, Conference
Finland: Veikkausliiga, Ykkonen
France: Ligue 1, Ligue 2
Germany: 1. Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga
Greece: National A Division, National B Division
Holland: Eredivisie, Eerste Divisie
Hungary: Division I, Division I B
Iceland: Urvalsdeild, 1. Deild
Ireland: Premier Division, First Division
Israel: Ligat Ha'Al, Liga Leumit

So you have three options.

- Tell me the team you want to start off with. Simple.
- If you're not too sure about things, pick a league/division that you want to start off at. Each of the leagues has been listed in order of prestige; for example, Serie A in Italy is more important than Serie B. I'll randomly assign you to a team then; it's a totally random draw so if you selected the English Premiership for instance, you could end up as Chelsea or Manchester City.
- Choose to start off unemployed; I'll immediately have you apply to every job available and you'll take the first one offered, although you'll likely end up at a small team and have to work your way up.

Manager Options: These are all optional, but if you want to set them you can.

Player Sales: Pick one (or none) of the three:

- Accept all offers for players (If anyone wants a player, you'll allow them to buy.)
- Only accept offers matching asking price (You'll only let another team buy a player if the price is right.)
- Reject all offers (You don't want to sell anyone.)

Apply for positions at higher-ranked clubs? (YES/NO; if you say yes, you'll always apply for jobs at "better" teams than the one you're at now, but you could also end up bouncing back and forth between jobs. If you say no, then I'll handle finding your next job once you're fired, at the time of the next update.)
