Emulation - definitely. I can agree with that. Web browsing... eh. Maybe someone can release some sort of keyboard attachment, then I think it would be feasible. (Although it would be great to check stuff like sports scores on the go.) |

It'll get better as time goes on given the system's specs. They'll probably also find ways to get around the firmware issues in due time. |

You're 9 hours ahead of him, Trapster. Noon his time is 9 PM your time.

That's flawed logic. If you finish first twice and I get some points each day, you can't clinch with just that.

Rydain: Right away the fact that she bought the game for her 14-year old should be enough to get the case thrown out of court. |
Ziff: The last thing I want is government intervention (state or federal) regarding game ratings. (restricted) |

True, but still... given the rankings today, he might BE passed come midnight. XD |
Two 10's for him/two 0's for me would do it but that doesn't seem to be happening. At least not today. (restricted) | (restricted) | (restricted) |

though I suspect I'll be posting more than just on that forum |
Wow, someone interested in rom hacking who actually says that they might escape that section of the boards from time to time. Welcome.

Hey, a lot of people picked up a GP32 solely for emulation/PC game port purposes so... |
Funny though. I'd actually ENCOURAGE (well, not publically) independent developers to do stuff like that if it meant more systems sold.

Ziff: The American government has more important things to worry about, in my opinion, than starting to give ratings to games or even banning games from being sold, which in my opinion would hinder the industry rather than help it. |
Yes, they should clarify M and AO (really, the only viable difference I can see is that AO has sex and M doesn't/shouldn't) but that's about it. I really don't have a problem with the ESRB ratings otherwise, they usually do their job. (restricted) |

True. But... the more systems you sell, the more games you sell as well. |
I can't see anyone getting a PSP *only* for emulation purposes, although it might be their main use. Still, selling 100,000 (high number but still) due to that exploit means more potential games to be sold. It's all about market share.

You ever check their website, Ziff? Seems to me as though they do offer resources for parents to check ratings and what each of them means. |
Don't forget, the last round of congressional hearings ended up setting the stage for the ESRB, which the government felt was necessary for the industry to be on a level playing field rating-wise. As for keeping games out of the hands of kids, that's a retailer's job. Fine them if they're caught selling games to kids under the rating's age, but don't point the blame anywhere else.

That's one of the more imaginative censoring attempts I've seen. |
I'm used to having layouts on, but more often than not I read replies through newreply.php if the thread's not super long.

They're all right but it depends on the fad. Something that makes sense *and* is fun usually works. Then there's the fads which are either played out or don't hold any appeal to 99% of the board... :\ Fun for the people involved but it's hard to catch on, if you get my drift. |
