Yeah but to be honest it was during a weird time of day/night. I'm sure a good number of staff members missed it as well.

At least the guy was smart - if he had done this at 8 PM or something, he'd be foiled ASAP for sure.

Something must have happened a few years ago with one of the satellites up there in space. For some reason, TSN (sports) got replaced for about an hour by what I presume was a cable access channel from Alabama or Georgia or one of those states.

And MY GOODNESS that hour was full of rednecks. One show was about what gun to purchase for hunting/protection/etc. and the other show had some VERY not-so-PC talk about certain ethnic groups (surprisingly not blacks, but Russians/Chinese/etc.).

One of the best hours of comedy I've ever seen in my life.

Oh, well if we're going to get really specific...

Action game featuring snakes: Snake, Rattle n' Roll
Online MMO sports: Hattrick
Entry-level RPG: Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
Dungeon crawling adventure/RPG: Nethack

And people say originality is done in gaming...

I can't buy it as a disease. It's not contagious and it's not something that needs to be treated with drugs or anything like that. But to be perfectly honest, there are a lot of people out there who think that they can eat anything they want as long as they don't "pig out" and they'll be fine. Then their metabolism gets shot and the next thing they know, they're 250 pounds. :\

Just use common sense (like maybe going to McD's once a week instead of 3-4 times) and mix up what you eat and you should be fine.

Bush has no time left on the clock to go after Iran, so if anything the administration will just talk smack about them for a few years.

Mr Ahmadinejad appeared to rule out improving ties with Washington, saying Iran did not really need the US.

So he's an isolationist basically. *shrug* Wouldn't have been my first choice to take over Iran and he might set them back 20 years if he starts getting rid of reforms, but he's who the people - supposingly - voted for.

Not so much things that parents don't want to see... they just need to understand that we have online and offline lives and anything that happens online is told to them on a need-to-know basis.

That need-to-know info, of course, probably comprises 0.0001% of all info.

I like my Gravis Eliminator Gamepad Pro but the one problem is that it doesn't have analog.

MOST games don't need analog, but it pissed me off when I wanted to play MVP Baseball 2005 and the game was all, like... "Hey, you don't have analog, so we're not going to support your gamepad! Have fun using the keyboard, jerk!"

You can easily treat obesity through natural methods, such as diets and exercise. You shouldn't, however, have to prescribe pills or have medical procedures (like lipo) to get the population under control. :\

I didn't mean obesity wasn't a problem, I'm just saying that there's effective ways to treat it without going to the doctor as if you had a disease.

Eh... I still can't see why it should be classified as such. I think that certain people might need treatment, they might be in a position where they can't lose weight due to a physical defect... but a disease? It just doesn't sound like the right definition to me.

And if nothing else, obesity is (in most cases, aside from those where someone has thyroid problems or something of that ilk) preventable - and if the United States, for instance, doesn't want today's kids to become tomorrow's fat slobs, then they need to start driving that point home ASAP.

It's art so it would obviously go into Modern Art.

And this just became your newbie thread so don't think of making a second one. Welcome.

He's more quoting his OWN posting patterns rather than the ACS itself.

Trust me, there's days where I thought I only made 11-12 posts and then load up the ACS to see that I actually made 20 or so. :\

Well, first off you're not on staff so if anything you'd just be sitting there, making a thread to talk about what's going on like countless others did. XD

I think on the basis of 2D fighting, it would have to be SF2. Mortal Kombat didn't exactly change the genre itself aside from the violence factor and graphics.

3D... That's tough since I haven't played too many 3D fighters. My guess would be one of the Tekken's or Soul Calibur.

Atari could have handled distribution of the NES, you know. There was interest and talks were ongoing, but then things fell apart, Atari decided to press forward with the 7800, and we all know what happened in the end.

ET was just the clincher; Atari had made tons of mistakes leading up to it, such as making 12,000,000 copies of Pac-Man when there were 10,000,000 Atari 2600's on the market. The belief was that 2,000,000 more consoles would be sold as a result, and the end result was that they only sold 7,000,000 copies or so; Pac-Man SUCKED. Terrible port although later Pac-Man games were good and more faithful to the arcade version; still, if that gamble had paid off Atari might have been able to get through the E.T. incident.
