*guesses that Legion's original post was deleted via Xk* I still remember it, at least.

Actually, the activity thing hasn't been so good since your return, Legion - I'm just saying that without your activity, things could be worse. Average of 412.5 posts/day so far this month compared to 491.37 for April.

Doesn't mean ESPN won't air the NHL next season. They could still negotiate with them and pay *less* than $60m for the deal - in other words, they might be banking on the league being so desperate that they'll accept something like $40-45m.

Spike TV might be interested in the package, they were outbid by NBC last year.

As for the NBA, they're spiraling that way rather quickly, it seems... last-minute meeting cancellations aren't good.

Yeah, but if you accidentally spam then we end up yelling at you and make you stop if you still want to be a good little user in good standing.

If you intentionally spam... then... um... don't admit it for starters.

Ziff isn't on staff at the moment but he's still allowed to moderate World Affairs because... well... we really have nobody else qualified to do so I think. :\

Favorite aside from moi... oooh. Toughie. I respect all of the staff members since they do their job, but if we're going solely on staff... Anya, Taryn, Ashley, NSNick, Jesper, Emptyeye, Kasumi and Rydain. If we're going back into past staff members, then I'll drag out Dani, Hiryuu and Mesia. And I'm sure I forgot a few as well. :\

Boycott is older than the others and I wouldn't recommend it only because the compatibility might be a bit off.

Win98 with a P3 and 128MB RAM... you might be cutting it close. Did you play around with frameskip to see if you could get things running a bit more smoothly?

There's been rather... unique things done with cookies in the past on the board. Let's leave it at that.

We *could* ban a range of IP's in case a dynamic one pops up, but the odds of it affecting other users are pretty high, so... :\

Well, that's why it's called TWISTED. You need to twist the GBA, which'll probably make you dizzy. (Kinda like how Touched... well... used touch.)

It's exactly the same technology as Kirby's Tilt and Tumble used.

Sweet. I wanna see it eventually if it's... well... put in an acceptable format that can play on a computer.

Kyouji: Um. Orange Star would have to take either the island directly to the east or south of the main island - I'd say south looks easier but can't be sure. Then again, enough money will be rolling in each turn for a real shootout.

Plus don't forget that you were trying to get as much bang for your buck in the early 8-bit/16-bit eras. So even if you came up with a short 7-stage game, you'd likely want to add multiple difficulty levels or just make the game flat-out hard to increase replay value.

Granted, some things have evolved over time in terms of complexity... Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy being two obvious examples. And you'll still have hard RPG's and action games being released to satisfy the older gamers who grew up on challenge, or those who just think everything's way too easy.

True, some companies think that easy = fun, but that's not always the case. Thankfully we at least have a good mix of games available now - and a crapload of old, hard games in case we don't find anything we like. Like Ghosts and Goblins.

It's a terrible habit. Trust me, I know that.

But on the other hand, if you still get good marks in the end like I do...

It's hard to get any specific information on cysts in general, Kas... but based on what I pulled out of Wikipedia, I'd guess Taryn is above average but certainly not anywhere near a record.

The main thing is that she's doing all right now aside from the discomfort, but I would think there'd have to be a way to reduce the size of the cyst before removing it... I mean, we're talking a fair sized object here.

The Mosts actually don't have any effect on activity - aside from people using a post to submit their picks and maybe another couple of posts in a discussion thread, it's not like they generate that much buzz.

I'd guess that they'll happen sometime in mid-June depending which staff member(s) wants to organize everything.

Yiffy Kitten: Because it's always been twice a year and it kind of cheapens the awards if they're done every 3 months - if nothing's really changed over that timespan, you'll get the same winners in certain categories. :\

Ashley: Well, if by mid-June the staff re-org wasn't done I'd be a bit worried. But old staff or new staff, I'm sure someone will step up.
