Wow! This thread was pretty active today... I'm surprised given the relative ANEMIC activity of the board itself.
We all agreed to give the ACS a break, but then we wanted you guys to have FUN again. Aren't we great admins? |

Steak: Picking up every item. I've NEVER done a speed run, but considering I'm going into Maridia with 135 Missiles/30 Super Missiles/30 Power Bombs (and picking up the X-Ray Scope before the Grappling Beam)... Yeah. Probably my strangest run to date. |

Ziff: That's what I'd do. Hell, I would have tossed in a 128MB stick compared to the 32MB one so people could play around with the PSP's capabilities. You'll take a loss, sure, but at the same time people can actually see what it can do without having to spend more cash to store their MP3's/videos.
Fyxe: You can be damn sure they'll do a price drop before Christmas, especially if sales start to slow down. |

Well, come 2006 it looks like my local EB in the mall is going to turn into one of the first Canadian GameStops.
GameStop and EB announced a merger today, with GameStop technically purchasing EB. The merger sees a very nice stock payout to shareholders and will see EB go under the GameStop banner, the new company controlling 25% of the video game store market. Any malls with both an EB and a GameStop will keep both in operation past the 2005 holiday season, and decisions on whether to close stores will only come in 2006.
I'm a bit surprised at this... if it wasn't 17 days late, I would have definitely considered this an April Fool. Any thoughts? Anya? |

That's actually a really good idea. I've never seen anyone manipulate a spoiler tag so as to pretty much give away part of the spoiler, and I couldn't see anyone wanting to... So I'd put this down as a "useful, but not necessary right away" idea.
You have a point, but in honesty most users wouldn't screw around with that. What's the point? |

Yup, saw that when I looked at Xk's nice little table and realized that there were eight slots instead of seven.
Acillatem98: I wouldn't be surprised - I've never gotten past CD1. |

Ugh... *looks at release lists*
PC: Can't see anything that's really striking my fancy... Football Manager 2006, NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005, GTA: San Andreas, Age of Empires III. GameCube: I'd be interested in seeing how Fire Emblem turns out, but I'll probably have to wait until E3. Oh, and Dance Dance Revolution with Mario. GBA: I've started to get back into Fire Emblem so I'd definitely want to check out The Sacred Stones, I think. After Hiryuu mentioned Riviera, I'd want to check that out as well to see if it's a RPG worthy of my time. And Mega Man Anniversary Collection had BETTER come out at some point. |

Getting this out of the "World Affairs" domain and back into the "Craziness" domain...
They might be allowed to get away with the protests but it's not like people are going to be walking downtown with a joint in hand. Trust me, if anyone tried that at Concordia they'd likely be nailed by any one of the cop cars I see go by on a daily basis walking to/from the subway.
...But there's also a bunch of restaurants near Concordia, so... |

- I take random stats regarding a lot of different things aside from the ACS, but nothing of any real note. Just personal observation bullcrap. - I like fixing up stuff on Wikipedia (cleaning up vandalism, adding some things, etc.) but nothing of any real note. |

Kefka: That's what you get when the FF forum is pretty much dead. All the RPG talk flows into here and messes with your mind. |

If it wasn't for Transport Tycoon (or even Railroad Tycoon for that matter), you wouldn't have all those hit-and-miss Tycoon games that come out 4 times a year. So watch your mouth. |

I think he chose Benedict because he's not going to have a long reign.
I don't see a major problem with this. Yes, Ratzinger is conservative, but I can't see him damaging the church too much in his short tenure. It'll basically just be status quo for the next couple of years, as it should be with someone clearly chosen as a transitional pope. If anything, I just hope that he overcomes his shyness and makes a few visits - and isn't it a coincidence that one of his first will be to his native Germany for World Youth Day?
snipy_chipy: The bell thing is new this time around, John Paul II came up with the idea in order to avoid confusion. |

Much like all of the other "end of the world theories" that have already passed, this likely has no merit or value.
Sad thing is that some fundamentalists might call events like the tsunami the "rapture" to satisfy their claims. :\ |

So you're telling me that it IS useful.
Hey, I guess it works for some developers who need a bunch of dummy files to play around with ASAP. Everything has some purpose, although this would likely be used for mostly malicious purposes. |
