GameSpot set the record straight. The Sony rep suggested PSP owners who encounter the pixel issue to try the device "for a week or two" to see if it continues to bother them. "If you find the spots are interfering with gameplay/video viewing during this period, we will support the various elements of [the PSP] warranty," the rep said. Each PSP comes with a one-year limited warranty, which is on page 125 of the PSP manual. If a PSP is "determined to be defective" by SCEA, the company will see to the "repair or replacement of this product [the PSP] with a new or refurbished product at SCEA's option." According to a technical support associate contacted by GameSpot, PSP owners who encounter a persistent and aggravating dead-pixel issue should contact SCEA's customer service line (1-800-345-7669) for instructions on how to exchange their unit after a week or two of using the unit. "We will work with you," he assured. The associate said the process would work much like exchanging PlayStation 2s that suffer from the dread "Disc Read Error" problem: Gamers will mail their PSPs in to SCEA and receive units with new screens. The associate was unsure if the customer would receive an all-new unit or their old unit with a new LCD screen. In short - bogus. |

I know Wipeout Pure and Lumines are supposed to be great. Other games range from good to very good depending on whether or not you like certain genres. Very few average games but nothing that is a must-buy. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Well so did I. To be honest, MOST gamers won't be that bothered with one pixel being a little brighter/darker than the rest. Now if you have a few like that, I can see someone considering an exchange. Sony wouldn't screw gamers over like that right off the bat. |

Yeah, but it specifically says "Alpha" for Catnip Dreams, so... |
That would answer Hiryuu's question from a few weeks ago. Nice to see that maybe we'll get some more soundtracks now. (restricted) |

Kiwi: I don't know the specifics of that law. I think that any game which CAN have a French manual needs to have one when it comes to video games (computer games are different because you can sell English/French versions in many cases). Many of Nintendo's games have English/French sections of the manual to make it easier. |

The fact that I understood the post and was showing how the flowchart did work makes Jesper's explanation all the more hilarious. ^___^

I usually have brown in my coffee when I'm out. |
But I'd go with white for everyday stuff... like sprinkling sugar on Corn Flakes.

And that's like the 200th warning you guys have gotten in this thread. |
It's not going to hit 201.

I'm in the 4th percentile in the Vermont group in Yahoo. |
And if you remember your high school math, 4th percentile does not mean "in the top 4%".

You can put a link to your website when editing your profile, you know. That's not against the rules. |

Screwing gamers over and comparing your system to the Mona Lisa are two entirely different things. |

Yeah, they're strange... think of them as cartridge CD's in a sense. The CD is built in and unless something scratches the exposed surface, they should be fine. |

When I had "bad" (not pizza-face but just frequent) acne many years ago, Proactiv DID work at the time. At least in drying them up and all that. |
It's not a cheap solution but it *should* work in most cases. (restricted) |

Yeah but I only had Duke heading to the Elite Eight so... |
At least I might get some points (!) tonight if Kentucky hold on.

What kind of trouble? The board was slow at random intervals a few days ago but it's been up and steady ever since. |
