We don't really... well... we recognize the Miracle but don't really celebrate it. And we only recognize it because you beat the hated Soviets. Why wouldn't they show Minnesota's run from the early 90's when they faced Pittsburgh? |

I passed it with a C which both Hiryuu and I were pretty disgusted at. I didn't have a good beat at all during it, but I'll give it another try after... the fact I was tired at 1 AM probably didn't help either. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

What was your reaction to that one, Taryn? I would guess one of mild disbelief or disgust. I remember that my friend wanted him to... erm... do his homework for him. I got something in return so I wasn't exploited or anything, but I followed the design specifications and made a plain but functional site. He got 9/10. |

Managed to get up to 1342... Of course, that's all due to blind luck. ...Like any of you aren't relying on that. |

Well, if the old games use a keyboard... Might be a good way to chalk up a few keys at least. |
I forget which game it was, but I had one back when we were first using Pulse that counted multiple key presses if the direction keys were held down.

I'd like to know how reliable the French magazine is first. If it is reliable, then I'll take IGN's word for it even though they're just passing along info. |
I figure that if the Revolution isn't coming out until the middle of 2006, then this might be a pretty good move for Nintendo to sap some of the cash out of the holiday season. IF it's a simultaneous release of course.

Broderbund was a pretty strange company in their game-making days. *pulls up NES list* |
Battle of Olympus - A pretty good game with a nice (although maybe not 100% accurate) storyline based on Greek mythology. It was hard though, but it was one of the early non-linear adventure games. Fairly certain this was developed primarily for an American release. Deadly Towers - Well, we know about this one. Either you hate it and think it's one of the worst games for the NES or you appreciate its complexity and randomness. Irem had a hand in this one. Dusty Diamond's All Star Softball - Definitely a Japanese release modified for the American market. Above average baseball game with some neat elements such as picking your roster from around 60 characters and having a bunch of different fantasy fields with unique rules. The Guardian Legend - Compile = very good game studio. One of the true underappreciated classics of the NES era, but also one of the hardest if you're not used to the adventure/shooter mix. Legacy of the Wizard - Part of the Dragon Slayer series, developed by Falcom, ported by Broderbund. Already more than adequately covered in this thread. Lode Runner - 1984 Hudson Soft copyright leads me to believe it was one of the first Famicom games in Japan but I could be wrong on that one. Nothing too special but I do own the game. And it's Lode Runner - you can't really go wrong with it. Plus there was Edit Mode, although you only had one screen to work with. (Was there an early system in the 80's that DIDN'T get a port of Lode Runner? Hell, there were at least 4 versions made for arcades in Japan.) Raid on Bungling Bay - An early Will Wright (you know him) game, actually. I think it was released on computers first before its port (again, by Hudson Soft). I never saw anything special in it. Spelunker - Um... I remember renting this when I was a kid and I kept dying like crazy. I prefer the arcade ports of the game, to be perfectly honest. Those were the only 8 games Broderbund released in America for the NES, and they didn't develop a single one of them. The track record isn't bad though - 8 games and a few pretty good ones in there. God, that first Google logo... *shudders* Talk about tacky, but at least the streamlined version that resulted is much more pleasing to the eye. |
I've played with it sometimes. It's a hell of a historical resource and it's the only way to get to some info (and sometimes even downloads) on defunct sites.

I can't see the reason why you'd want a portable photo album... I guess maybe to replace all those pictures some people have in their wallets? |
My guess is that most people who'll buy the 60GB iPod Photo are people who just want the extra HD space for their music. And if they can afford it, there's nothing wrong with that.

Thank god I lied about the blink tag. |
I'd consider you a danger to mankind if you didn't. "WELCOME TO OUR EXPLOSIVE WEBSITE!" -> Oh dear God. No wonder he had to give up the business.

I wouldn't mind if we had less posts per user but more users posting. If nothing else, the board would be more diverse. |
Of course, the downside is that we'd have to learn a lot more poster names.

It's a 2004 model, Kitten Yiffer. If *that* isn't reliable (or at least functional) at this point in time, I don't know what is. As long as it's good enough to get her from point A to point B without any problems, then good. |
Jesper - We shall see. Although I'm surprised Acmlm hasn't brought it up. (Then again... maybe I'm not.)

Bush doesn't have much time to TAKE military action against Iran in the first place, especially with Iraq still not a settled issue yet. |
If nothing happens within a year, then nothing probably will happen. Second-term presidents don't have that long to make major decisions.

You don't need many posts, true - but most of the people who don't post a lot and "stand out" are those who post constructively - in other words, it's a pleasure to read their posts even if they're not that frequent. |

.....I don't want to know how many web design laws that page would break. I'd love to run it through one of the standards checkers to see how many flags it throws up. |

Well that does make sense. I mean, rather than lugging a photo album to a friend's house/on vacation, you could just load up pictures on that. Understood. |
But for a lot of people... *shrugs* If I could afford an iPod, I'd definitely get the 60GB iPod Photo but mainly for the storage space.

Most keyboards are pretty well made. I think I read that each key should be able to be pressed a million times at least before things start to wear down... but my old keyboard still works fine and lord knows I typed a hell of a lot of stuff on that. |

Well, if they stay dormant then you have nothing to worry about. If they're not going to grow then... |
That's what I'm hoping to hear when I end up seeing the specialist but I'm not holding my breath. |
