| Whoever *loses* the deal is gone. If Bettman ends up getting his way the owners are going to hold him on a fricking pedestal. Goodenow needs to get a fair deal for his side although he's already nailed them twice with the rollback and the salary cap. Bettman's argument about the hard cap was that teams are going to gravitate towards the high end of it; for argument's sake, let's say it was $49 million. I don't know about you, but I cannot see teams like Nashville, Carolina, Edmonton, Calgary, Washington and Pittsburgh striving to hit anywhere near that $49 million level. It's not like football (many teams near the $80 million cap) or basketball (Bettman said today that 27 teams are over the cap right now in the NBA, which I find hard to believe), so... |

The problem with crust is that it's really only good the first time you have the pizza. After you end up re-heating it... well... depending on the place, it ranges from tough to rubbery. ![]() |

People'll still find ways. ![]() For every site that refuses to put up licensed series, there's others (anime and general) that will. If someone's not lazy or anything, they'll figure it out. ![]() |

| I mean whoever loses with the new CBA. Put it this way; if Goodenow ends up caving in on every single point that they've fought against and the players don't like it, he's going to be exiting stage right. I'd be ticked if my union prez went out and negotiated a deal that none of us wanted. On the other hand, if Bettman goes out there and doesn't provide the owners with the system that they want, then he's going to be facing an uncertain future as well. I agree that we're all losing at the moment, but I think someone's going to end up being the ultimate loser in all this. 27 over the cap... OY. I just checked a document and saw that there's a crapload of exceptions, but still... Not good at all. Then again, the NBA system is needlessly complex to begin with. |

We get a lot of members from there but not all of them, sadly, dare to venture outside of those walls. ![]() Xk pretty much has it bang-on, but it is the official LM board more or less. |

| Lenophis, cut it out with the snarky replies. It's a valid topic to talk about, therefore it's not stupid, therefore if you think it is then you should keep those comments to yourself. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Krion Conquest was always a game I wanted to check out... it looked good in the previews I saw and then I just never saw it at the video store. I'll check my CD o' roms later and give it a go. ![]() I liked the Rygar run because it REALLY played havoc with the game engine; including the warp to the last level. It was still a good game though. (Hell, the first wave of Tecmo titles was great and I could see a speed run being done for Solomon's Key.)...Aw wait. OK, Mighty Bomb Jack then. |

Won't be the DS, I can promise you that. ![]() Nah, the Mario game shown at E3 for the DS (the 2D one) was legit. No idea what becomes of it though - whether it was a tech demo or more. |

A question for the unofficial board FAQ (if there ever was one), perhaps? ![]() The shock on some people's faces was priceless that night. ![]() |

| Nah, that's nowhere near close to being Windows XP Crippled Edition. That title goes to Windows XP Starter Edition. Wikipedia quote: Windows XP Starter Edition (also called "XP Lite", not to be confused with Shane Brooks's XPLite (http://www.litepc.com/)) is a lower-cost version of Windows XP available only in Asia, including Russia. It is similar to Windows XP Home, but has some features removed and some limitations added: display resolution can only be up to 800x600 pixels, only three applications may be run at the same time, any application may have no more than three windows open, PC-to-PC home networking and printer sharing is not available and only a single user account is allowed. Added to the operating system are localized help features, country-specific wallpapers and screensavers and certain pre-configured settings to make it easier for novices to use. You going to complain about WMP being taken out instead of all that stuff? ![]() |

| Yeah, but last I checked we have one dump. Now maybe that means there's only one dumper available in the world at the moment and it was just a dry run, but I think people have confirmed there is data in the First Hunt rom. (Not like the "Sonic Demo" rom with a bunch of garbage.) | ||||

Actually, the first Wario game was still called Super Mario Land 3. It just seemed to be a breath of fresh air, and Nintendo had no problem putting out a series of interesting follow-ups. ![]() |

I'd still go hack as opposed to game but maybe the software will just be evil and block all message boards for the hell of it. ![]() Wikipedia blocked... I dunno about that. (Although if you're using Wikipedia as a primary resource tool for anything ABOVE high school level, good luck explaining that one to your teachers.) |

| You know, there's so much that could have been done with this thread. Sooooo much. And now we'll have to wait until at least 20,000 or 25,000 to figure something out. Shame. ![]() But at least we have another year or so to figure that out. ![]() |
