$249 is way too much. I think Sony priced themselves right out of the market with that move. I know they're losing money on each system to begin with, but lots of people are going to look at that tag and think it's $249 for the system itself, not the extra "goodies".

$40 games = really bad idea too.

Of course, if you're a sports fan, by all means get the system because half the launch lineup is composed of sports titles from EA/Sony.

The Pay-to-View structure really bit both GameSpot and IGN in the butt though. How did it work... I think GS was "you have to pay to see reviews that are more than 7 days old" and IGN was "you have to pay to see reviews that aren't 7 days old yet".

Needless to say, neither of those systems exist anymore.

Hiryuu has less upload though. I have an 80kb upload rate which is quite good, but at the same time my connection can sometimes be unstable. Sometimes.

As long as the person has a smooth connection/PC, they should be fine.

Nah, you just have to tilt the system the right way and watch the disc fly out like a frisbee.

I don't like Sony's "the game companies have to take responsibility for a game's battery use" policy. God forbid they have to reduce polygon counts to allow a game to run an extra hour.

It's not even that. The fact that some games can run for 6 hours on fully charged batteries and others for 3 hours should cause alarm bells to ring right there.

I don't like the whole "civil union" concept unless you were to clearly state "OK, it's the exact same thing as marriage BUT we don't want to call it marriage, although all benefits/etc. are allowed in the definition of it".

I'm personally for same-sex marriage, but at the same time I hope the Liberal government knows what they're getting into in Canada. (Put it this way - it's going to be a vote of confidence in the government as well.)

He's not a past TE winner, I know that much... I don't *think* he was a TE guy but I could be mistaken, they've signed enough participants in the past for that to be possible.

And when nobody has anything intelligent to say, they break out the "Colleen = perv" jokes. Yup. Sad sad sad.

I think just the fact you're active is... good enough.

Acmlm could code that but would it really be of any benefit? No.

Ziff: That's assuming every single member of the Liberals/Bloc/NDP votes in line, and that's probably not going to happen. (This, BTW, is the only time I'm prepared to cheer on the Bloc.)

Of course, some Conservatives won't vote in line with party policy either so it should all balance out in the end.

As Kitten Yiffer said, the wads themselves are copyrighted. There's plenty of people you could talk to about getting them.

He's not the best commish now!

In case you're wondering, the buzz here is that we STILL have another week within this "11th hour"... It's like keeping a braindead patient on life support. *grumbles*
