The pinball industry isn't exactly booming these days, if you haven't noticed. :\ The odd new game comes out once in a while, though. |

I was thinking in terms of HD space to cost actually. I know that the lowest ones in terms of HD space aren't $20 or anything, but it just seems like such an odd scale. |

One CFL team (Winnipeg?) put him on their negotiation list, meaning that IF Brock was to go to the CFL it would be to Winnipeg unless they couldn't come to an agreement. It's first option.
CMLL and EMLL are the same company - the TV runs under the CMLL banner but some shows run under the EMLL banner. No real difference. |

Oh, people will find a way.
Of course, the smart thing to do if you did was to tell us - exploitation = teh bad. |

I was thinking more of a simple slice of the skate blade. And at least that could be treated quickly unlike a fractured skull. |

Well, there WAS those pictures of that Search for Aeris game... Nobody knew if it was a homebrew, hack or pipedream.
But short answer - NO. Geez.

Yeah, they basically tweaked the stats to make things more fair, AND you have all the little extra hidden items around like the stat seeds. So the difficulty curve gets smoothed out a bit. |

What did Richard Pound say in the paper today... something along the lines of "Now you have to rob the liquor store 4 times before you go to jail."
It's an improvement but at the same time it's not strict enough - and I don't think it's ever going to get to that level unless you're willing to suspend dozens of players at once. |

Back to Ranma for a second... Two of the three fighting games came out in North America. The first game came out as Street Combat here and pretty much had totally changed sprites/characters/etc. You'd be hard pressed to know that it was based off the first game. The second one obviously came out here as Hard Battle and everyone knows that. The final one was SUPPOSED to come out in North America, and I'm led to believe it was close to happening (with magazine ads showing pictures from the game and all that) but for some reason the plug was pulled. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a proto of the translation out there. |

I think that as new servers go up and more people subscribe, Blizzard will ship more copies to stores.
I *THINK* the latest figures are WoW 600,000+ (US, Australia, New Zealand), EQ2 360,000 or so. |

Care to elaborate on exactly why you think the trailer's stupid?
(I'm definitely not defending the game or anything, but if you're going to make a statement like that you should at least back it up with a reason or two. "I don't think the premise is good", "the graphics don't look that great", "I'll wait to see a more recent demo", etc.) |

The same premise goes for movies as well, although I'd be hard pressed to figure out the last movie (aside from Spy Kids 3D) that used it. The 3D glasses thing used to be all the rage for cheesy horror flicks. |

Sion's post prior to this (paraphrased):
"If you like it, cool; if you don't like it, cool"
Sion's latest post:
"If you like it, cool; if you don't like it, TOO BAD"
Make up your mind.
Ziff: I don't think Nintendo "sells" characters, that's a pretty asinine statement. I think that they want to have more exposure however; which would explain the recent crossbranding with EA and then Konami. (For all we know, Nintendo might have asked EA to put the characters in instead of the other way around to try sell more units. I dunno. I know that Namco and Nintendo are on pretty good terms which explained Link in SC2.) I think that it's in Nintendo's best interests to give their star characters more exposure in an attempt to attract casual gamers and fans of the characters; however, I don't think we'll see Bowser get his head ripped off in Mortal Kombat anytime soon. |
