...I've had BETTER explanations given to me about Xk's ascent and decline. Be more creative.

Wonder how many users we scared off during that brief period.

Yoshi was never a popular game and I didn't like the gameplay.

Now, Yoshi's Cookie is a different story and I'd probably add it to my "not-so-popular games I like" list.

I think that EA's probably going to cool down on acquisitions - their move today was pretty dirty as is. They need to concentrate on the GAME division now.

(Today's move - obtaining the Arena Football League license to prevent other companies *COUGH*SEGA*COUGH* from using it.)

So in the end this is the "super budget but not really budget priced iPod" right?

I'll... um... wait to eventually buy a real one when the price is good enough. That'll likely be when the next generation of players comes out, of course.

Mutation: Then obviously you don't have a good grasp of the English language.

Title of thread: "Here's how to make Spam"

My post: "I find that having spam as a main ingredient of the dish makes the concept of making spam null and void." -> In other words, how can you make spam (if you take the thread title literally) using spam as the MAIN ingredient?

Speed skating's a pretty dangerous sport and it's in the Olympics.

I guess flying from a motorcycle might be a bit worse than getting a skate blade in your shoulder.

CMLL if we want to be really specific as to the in-ring product.

You made a few mistakes though...

- Lesnar hasn't signed with the CFL. The RUMORS have him going to New Japan if he doesn't go back to the WWE.
- Hector Guerrero, not Gory.

Give EA a year and they can buy the NHL rights for a bag of pucks.

Not if I beat you to it.

(And in case anyone didn't learn from the Mosts thread, this is what we call a staff warning. Which means get OFF the current topic and get to something else, and if you really want to discuss this further, take it off the board.)

A banned user was banned due to breaking the rules repeatedly. People think he kicked ass, ignoring the flames that came out of him. People will flock to his rescue, despite how fair or unfair it might have been.

I didn't think you had that kind of statement in you, Xk.

When people start asking me "so how long is the permaban", it really pisses me off AND makes me think about stuff. (This is why I blocked you on AIM, windwaker - nothing personal and I'll probably get around to unblocking you tonight, but saying stuff like that wasn't a wise idea.) On one hand, it pisses me off because it means that certain members of the community take permabans as being a joke. "Oh well, he's gone for a while but you know he'll be back down the line." On the other hand, it makes me think of all the times we HAVE permabanned users and then seen them come back without any difficulties or real resistance. So there has to be a line drawn somewhere - either we start giving longer bans for serious offenses by repeat offenders to be nice, or we stick with our guns and say "Once someone's PERMAbanned, that's it no matter what as long as the staff reaches an agreement on it."

I think we gave Legion a TON of chances, ever since the Pinion days. (Points to you if you remember that.) He's been banned (and PERMAbanned) a bunch of times but always comes back. We gave him more leniency that he deserved, and it did seem at first that all this leniency was good and that it looked like he was on the right track, but in the end it all blew up in our faces. If we were to unban him, the smart money says that he'll end up blowing yet another chance sooner or later. You can only be sent to the principal's office so many times before you're expelled, to use an analogy.

I had a 3-page* assignment due today, I couldn't skip school because then I lose 5% of my mark.

* - Single-spaced. Why yes, it did come short of 3 pages, I wasn't going to pump it full of filler.

Apparently you need to buy the retail version AND a game card to get your first month free along with the 60 days on the game card. That's how it works.

Emptyeye: Have you tried Minish Cap yet?

Dragon Warrior II was... unique. At least III and IV (and of course all the ones that followed) were way more open ended, but you had your fighter, your weak mage and your "you're lucky if she does more than 1-2 damage late in the game" mage.

I still liked the game though... but I think the GBC remake did it more justice.

Honestly, you'd get slapped around and given a warning and the JS would be removed from your profile.

Of course, that's what would have happened if you DIDN'T say what you were going to do.
