Final Fantasy 2, mainly for the extremely unique (and pretty much one-off) levelling system.

You could also make an argument for Metroid 2 being unique because it was the only game in the series where the goal was to defeat all Metroids in a given area, with the way to the next area only being opened up (drained of lava) when said objective occured.

That's better than when Gmail invites were going for $40-50 a pop...

Then again, anything regarding beta invites will go for good cash as long as you're not caught.

Well, don't forget that Hunters should have a single-player mode when it's released, which might give it more kick. Apparently it's great with 4 players (more so than Metroid Prime 2).

I'm surprised about the touch screen scratching... I wonder if the third-party alternative thumb pads will be less prone to it.

Most POP3 servers have limitations on the size of attachments you can send - and of course receive. Don't try sending a 30MB file to a friend with most services.

Haven't tried Gmail's POP3 support yet.

Hey, most of us did JUST fine without the Internet. Then we all got hooked.

I'd probably play more video games to be honest.

Wouldn't limit it to one board, Legion... Every board's different.

Some have more cynical assholes than others, and sadly that can't be helped, but...

(And I think we've driven home the point enough on the thread. I'll try remember to ask Milly to close it. )

I thought the power button had to be held down for a few seconds before it would turn off... Didn't that make it into the final version?

Trapster, there's been a Christmas scheme since the FIRST YEAR (well, first December) of the board.

"This is a battle I'll spam trying."

If you're going to admit that, at least make sense.

The *true* speed runs are done on real systems (or in some cases on emulators) using no modifications at all. In other words, I load up a game/rom and try to get from point A to point B in the shortest possible amount of time.

The ones you see Acmlm and that do are for entertainment only - they'd NEVER be considered as real records but they're manipulated to show the fastest possible way (within the game's constraints) to beat the game. Obviously, if your legit run comes close to one of those, you're God.

So they went with the Elimination Chamber... interesting, although the result should STILL be HHH going over. There might be a surprise or two to make the Rumble more interesting though...

And I *JUST* switched to the "normal minus graphics" layout too... *switches back* Tremendous news and a good sign indeed.

Karadur: That's in reference to the planned board RPG battle system which is most definitely on a period of hiatus at the moment.

Translation: I want you guys to educate me on them as they're one hardware part that I don't *fully* understand.

The situation is like this... I have my modem (SpeedStream 5200) and now I want to get a router so that I can hook my OLD PC (Celeron 300) up to the Internet for parental use. So how exactly does it work... Is it basically "plug adapter/receiver into USB slot of old PC, connect modem and router, enjoy" or is it a bit more complex than that?

As well, any good suggestions on types of routers to get would be useful; we're not looking to spend a fortune here, but we just want something affordable and that'll do the job hassle-free.

...I had heard in the 3-5 second range when people were playing around with pre-release copies. I'm surprised they'd tone it down that much... 3 seconds would be reasonable I think. Long enough so that people can realize that they made a boo-boo.

Oh, and I've YET to see a DS in stores for sale around here. Games, yes. Systems, hah.

So... why?

You know, if the knives are spring-loaded and small enough, you really don't NEED the screens to be weakened.

Might as well shoot out 4 at a time to make sure though.

They gave them extra help with their schooling, it's not like they tossed them into a dark room with dirty water and stale bread.

Lots of schools do that, and they can work IF the program's implemented properly and focuses on the right individuals.
