| I've never gotten one notification from Firefox about an extension update when I've checked. That either means: 1) None of my extensions are updated. 2) Something's f'ed. Somehow I don't think it's #2 though.  Then again I only use around 3 extensions... All of which work with 1.0 final. |

| Confirmed by the BBC, CNN, CTV and basically any other source you'd care to look at. No official announcement from the military hospital in Paris yet. I think everyone knew it was coming but there'll be some shock/mourning in Palestine today. Hopefully no instability arises from this, and maybe it'll kickstart the peace talks again... that is, if Arafat was the only obstacle.  |

Yes.  I'm guessing characters take up very little storage space, and you'll WANT a few anyways. 8 races, 9 classes. If nothing else, you'd probably want a few characters from each class, maybe one or two with specific professions, one or two solely for PvP, etc. |

| He's allowed to choose whoever he wants, Erk. I think the single-user/multi-user thing is a pretty valid argument, and I'm also sure he checked out the ToS of the company first to figure out if he could just recreate the wootest.net network there or not. It would be like if I was the owner of a (online/offline) store. I'd love for all my friends to shop there, of course, but they might not always come. I might not have something they want, or they might be able to find a better deal somewhere else. In the big picture of things, it doesn't matter because you're going to get the business from somewhere, be it from a circle of friends or not. Jesper: Couldn't people end up getting "around" that with zip files? I don't have any MP3's on my space, but you'll have to make sure that it's enforced somehow.Then again, *MOST* people shouldn't have MP3 libraries in the first place.  |

| Ziff: Yes but I only posted that link for fun. Although there's a few games that I don't think you could do that trick with... Ocarina of Time strikes me as possibly one. I don't think people are being idiots or anything if they like Halo 2 - it's a game in a genre. If you like the genre, odds are you'll probably like the game. Now, whether the game's a status symbol or something in the Xbox world, I can't say. |

Eep.  From what I got out of the article, we might see a couple more minor upgrades but that's it. Pretty sad news... I believe that WinAmp 5 is a great way to go out, but it'll be up to other players to pick up the slack when technology evolves.  |

| Sadly, there is the cost aspect. I think WoW edges out EQ2 though - EQ2 is a flat $14.99 US a month while you can go as low as $12.99 US a month with WoW if you purchase 6 months at a time. I'm only purchasing the game if the game cards are sold in Canada, and *IF* they're sold at a reasonable price. $49.99 Canadian for 60 days of SWG - highway robbery to me. |

| Speaking of HL2, some *stores* managed to leak it today, which is likely going to get them in a ton of trouble. Smart move though - online play won't be enabled until the official launch date.  So the current owners can play through the game, but they're shut out of online fragging for a while. |
