I think we need a fresh, unpredictable, flip-flopping, controversial, light-hearted party in control.

Which is why it was kept in the PSX version.

(That and the outcry from fans would be insane. )

Why would you ask it in General Gaming then?

(To be honest, it's not a terrible choice but maybe you'd get more response in General Emulation since you'd probably have to emulate for a code to work...)

And there goes California to Kerry. All of a sudden it's close again since Cali. has *51* votes.

And that also kills Kefka's prediction since Kerry's eclipsed 171.

It's gonna be close... I dunno if we'll have a winner tonight. And if it comes down to *ALASKA*... screw this.

Well I have, like, 8 freaking tabs open tonight because of the election.

And they're just saying that to make current smokers excited price-wise.

The great thing is that it's 11:43 PM and we still have no idea what's going on.

Surprisingly, Kerry can conceed Florida to Bush and win - OR conceed Florida and Ohio to Bush which could bring it all down to Alaska and Maine.

New Mexico was 51-48 Bush last I checked. Colorado's 52-47. Ohio's 52-48.

ABC/CBS gave Florida to Bush but NBC and CNN are *not* jumping to that one just yet.

Thankfully I watched The Daily Show tonight so...

Yay, Rydain's using the BBC too.

...Then again, I have a Firefox window opened with CNN, Yahoo/AP and BBC tabs. Those are the only 3 I'll bother with checking.

I wouldn't call Ohio for Bush yet, especially with an apparent 200,000 "provisional ballots" in play according to what I read. If Bush wins Ohio by only 50-60 thousand... it's not over.

...Why do I have a feeling I'm going to wake up tomorrow, look at the paper and see "???" as the headline?

FOX called Ohio.

On one hand, this puts Bush on the brink. On the other hand... IT'S FOX. Nobody else has bothered to call Ohio, and nor should they at this moment.

Ohio and Florida will be interesting tomorrow. *IF* all of those Florida ballots are in play, we're not done there. Same with Ohio unless Bush somehow pulls away with the last 20% or so of the votes. Kerry should pull closer in Ohio but how close is anyone's guess.

Bush has a 20,000 vote lead in New Mexico with 20% still to report. It's in play - barely. Nevada is DEFINITELY in play with Kerry having a 3,000 vote lead - then again, only 17% of precincts have reported.

I love Election time just to be able to analyze all kinds of data like this.

It's your RIGHT to vote. It's not a law.

Now, here's where it stands this morning. Kerry has conceeded the election to Bush, giving him... as much as I hate to say it... a second term.

HOWEVER, it's not "official" yet. The count is 254-252 in favor of Bush according to the AP. Nevada went to Bush overnight, Wisconsin to Kerry. New Mexico, Iowa and Ohio are "still in play" - however, Bush has a 140,000 vote lead in Ohio with 100% of the precincts reporting. At this time, due to Kerry's shocking concession, the lawyers will likely not be called in - apparently Kerry and his team looked at the numbers in Ohio and decided it would be pointless to go in there with lawyers.

And I don't know what'll happen with the absentee ballots in Florida - there's nearly a million that need to be counted, I think.

It was a brave move by Kerry to conceed, I'll give him that - but somehow I don't think it's 100% over. Maybe 95% but not totally over.

CNN a few minutes ago - Bush wins Ohio.
CNN now - Ohio "too close to call".

Make up your damn minds!

Ashley: You could conceed and still win, but you'd look like a real idiot if you did. A safe idiot, mind you, but still an idiot.

They're still not calling Ohio for Bush, who has a 136,000 vote lead with just about every precinct accounted for.

I'd love for something unexpected to happen, but the fact is the numbers just don't add up. Around 100,000 provisional ballots would have to appear out of nowhere to give Kerry a slim chance. I don't think CNN's going to fall into a Florida trap if they just call it.

Nobody's called New Mexico and Iowa although those two are pretty much a moot point. Ohio's the only one that matters.

No way will there be a draft in the next four years. That rumor is pretty much a fallacy and - if things stay the same during that time period - there shouldn't be any reason to even consider one. Not to mention that there's so many other, useful things that the taxpayers' money should go into.

Say what you will about Bush, but if he put the draft in then you might as well pencil in that Democrat win in 2008.

The Canadian reaction to the Bush win... well... it's pretty reserved.

Put it this way - PM Martin's going to call Bush, congratulate him, then pretty much confront him on the lumber disputes and the restrictions that have been placed on Canadian beef (despite there being *NO* mad cow disease in Canada at the moment).

So basically, Bush has to make some concessions here if he wants our trust back - and we don't want to have cold relations with them for the next 4 years. So something's got to be done.
