Japan only release for the NES.

I've seen pirate copies of freaking LODE RUNNER for the NES. So don't think that a cart with only one game on it is legit.

Grand Theft Auto: Brit City?

See, that would REALLY be stretching it.

I'm pretty sure that's a selection of the songs in the game - if Rockstar wants another CD set, they can't stop there.

The Kururin games basically have you piloting a rotating stick through a series of levels. There's a few obstacles you have to avoid, but basically all you have to do is avoid hitting the walls. Hit them too many times and you die.

Of course, there's healing points in the longer levels, so it's not like you have to pilot the stick through a level for 2 minutes and then mess up at the end.

Kuru Kuru Kururin, as Imoto stated, was released in Europe when the GBA launched. It never saw an American release. Kururin Paradise was supposed to see a North American release but I fear those plans have been shelved.

Well, don't forget that Game Genie codes basically access certain memory locations in a rom and change them. So putting in a code for infinite lives basically finds the location where the lives are stored and makes sure it doesn't change.

My guess is that your code just messed up the game to begin with causing those random effects.

They separated the games into hentai and non? Dear lord.

weeding peach - rom (hentai?)

Wedding Peach? I'd hope not.

I'm surprised there didn't seem to be any shoot-em-ups released for the system.

Yeah even though some would still consider RO to be in a beta state when they started charging...

If you want to play iRO, you have a 650MB download and they'll give you a 15-day free trial to check it out.

15 minutes?

Try maybe an hour.

But it depends on how much posting I do during the day. I'm a fast typer so it's not too hard for me to write a few lines in a bunch of posts. I just... like posting.

At the moment, I'm using Avant Browser which is a shell for IE. Basically it's IE minus a ton of annoying popups and with less risk of getting nailed with spyware/malware.

I use Firefox on occasion to browse certain sites that I can't access in IE for some reason.

Beat-em-up, yeah... but no shooters?

That's almost unheard of for any Japanese system. Heck, there's even Gradius ports for PC's in Japan...

I'm sure that "PC-98" and "Roms" would really help you on Google.

.....Geez.

What is the prognosis like? To me, it sounds like you're pretty upbeat and aren't letting this get to you, which is a great attitude to have. Chemo isn't pleasant, but if it's going to do some good... then good. At least we live in an age where, if cancer is found early enough, it can be defeated.

This still shouldn't be happening to people who don't deserve it... But life can be fickle sometimes. If this is the worst thing that happens to you in a long, fruitful life, then consider yourself extremely lucky.

Good luck with the treatment. I think it goes without saying that the whole community is behind you in beating this.

Virtually every game there looks like standard cheap pirate cart fare, with some exceptions.

Dig Dug - Never seen this one on a standard pirate.
Bird Week - Crappy badminton game I think.
Joust - Can't go wrong with Joust.
Bomb Jack - Was the original arcade Bomb Jack ever released for the NES? If not, this might be Mighty Bomb Jack. Not a bad addition.
Spoon - Shouldn't this be Sqoon?
Macross - I've seen this one on pirate carts and played it... No. Trust me. No way.
Magic Jewelry - Columns clone I believe.
WWF - Has to be M.U.S.C.L.E.

Has anyone dumped this rom yet?

They did an Iron Man last year on SD (Lesnar vs. Angle), so there's precedent.

If they're given 10-15 minutes of overrun then they can play around with matches and the like.
