Can Phil confirm that Rhode Island law?

LAW: It is illegal to wear a bulletproof vest while committing a murder.

OK... So basically I need to make sure that the cops can kill me on their first shot. Right.

I'll read that tomorrow when I'm not so tired.

I wouldn't worry about a ban though.

Yes, we DO need a note because if wootest.net goes down, at least we know what can/can't be done.

I'm sorry, but for the most part I have to disagree.

I can agree with the Rom Hacking business (since if people are working on a hack and need a few weeks to code something, that's cool) and maybe a few threads bumped by the original author or with permission.

But for the most part, bumped threads have little to no content in them. Most of the ones that I close are either really old (why do people dig deep into forum pages to look for stuff to post in? ) or the reply is something that was already said before, spam, or makes no sense.

Relaxing the rules? I could live with that... but not totally changing them.

Why would you leave the lid open?

I'm a bit confused, but from what you're saying, the system runs fine if you have a game inserted and close the lid before turning the power on.

As for emulators, as long as you have a decent system (read: something from the last 3 years or so), then just download MAME, then find the ROM using Google or something, then play. Extremely simple.

And to show you how slow a news day it was yesterday... it made CTV Newsnet during one of their 15-minute blocks.

Hm. Here in Canada, 5th grade isn't a big deal since elementary school is K-6. It's just one more year closer to high school.

It's one of your last "easy" years though, so just have fun.

OK children, play nice.

I don't notice a huge difference either, but I'm getting some pretty low rendering times here and there. Long story short, I trust Erk when he says this server's better.

Might depend on forum activity, yeah... But when someone bumps a newbie thread or birthday thread after two weeks (and without any real reason), then...

Most bumps are the cause of spam or a spree.

Perhaps I should have removed my comments regarding Glenn. As I mentioned, this outburst of mine is not a direct consequence of his banning but, instead, a result of the nerve I've mustered after seeing how imperious and immature the leaders were in banning him. I admit that I do not know the whole story, so that may be an unfair judgment, but it makes no difference.

You can't judge the actions of the board based on one isolated incident.

Glenn has caused problems here before and was banned on the old board for acting immaturely. So when he came here and tried to pull that stunt again... well... We know how he acts. Delial knows him well and he's not going to listen to reason, so...

I'm not saying flaming him is the ideal solution, but we're also not going to pat him on the head and tell him to go away nicely with that kind of treatment.

Paid or unpaid, job or hobby, your actions as a staff member affect real people. Just because it is done on your free time, doesn't meant that it is a duty that should not be taken seriously. As I grow older, my free time decreases and I place more value on the diminishing chances I have to enjoy myself; your (once again, a collective "your") idea that this place and this job are a personal playground neglect to consider the fact that, though you may enjoy running amok, you are inconveniencing (at best) several dozen people.

We understand that our actions affect real people, but at the same time we have to do our job regardless. I really doubt that the Glenn thing inconvenienced several dozen people. More like the other way around.

If you were a staff member and had to stay on the board for an hour zapping someone who tried to re-register multiple times, you'd understand the frustration we sometimes feel.

And if an admin was running amok and abusing his/her power, it would likely be stopped quickly.

So when is smile.dk going to register?

We *USED* to have another Finn... but... yeah. Ask Tuvai something about that one day.

And we need a user from the Faroe Islands.

Welcome.

$5 says they reverse-engineered the Famicom for that.

Most built-in games are from the mid-80's - Nintendo titles and basically any cart under 64kb.
