It's not so much the work experience thing - it's how they view you as a person. Maturity, extracurricular activities, and all that stuff. |
On the off-chance you see someone at 15-16 working as a cashier or something along those lines, it's likely that the employer picked him/her because of a good interview/attitude. Or he/she's related to the boss.
