Mewquas: "Eh?"

The water soaked Mewquas, emitting smoke as it touched his skin. He yelped as the water burned his skin all around.

Mewquas: "AAAAHHHH!!! How can something this drippy be so painful!?"

Mewquas continued his yelping until all the water was off of him. He was a bit of a stronger Irken, able to take the pain of the water. He painfully wore a grin on his face as he stared down his foe.

Mewquas: "You think that something like that could stop me? I am a strong invader! An invader like me could not be stopped! You shall see... soon!"

Mewquas clapped once, and then stood there. Nothing happened afterwards. Was he charging up or something?

SIR: "I think he is."

Huh? How can the SIR know I am... ugh, nevermind...

Posted on 06-17-05 09:35 PM, in Kirby's Dreamland: Little bit of data & question Link
Ok, so last night, I got myself the Kirby's Dreamland rom and decided to take a crack at finding the level data so I could make a hack... since I don't think anyone has attempted this game (Kirby's Adventure and Kirby Superstar are the only ones, I think...).

So began my corrupting.

I corrupted very in depth until I found some level changes.

I thought I found level data, but I later discovered (after ten minutes of experimenting) that I didn't find level data, but I found what I believe to be some tile data.

0xEDA4 - The beginning of the tile data. If I change one of the values there, it changes the first tile plus anything like that. That has to be tile data.

However, after corrupting the rom a lot, I could not find the level data. Not. At. All.

I have a question for those that can answer it: Is the level data in this game compressed? If so, has anyone cracked it yet?

...did you modify the level settings in the overworld editor? Sure, you can add in all the dots you want, but it doesn't know what level to point to. You need to select the tile you want to modify and edit the level tile properties in order to assign a level.

...I need to get DDR now...

Now that I have an Xbox, I don't have to wait for the Gamecube version to get it.

I have been wanting it for a while. I can somewhat beat my brother on it... if he would let me play it every once in a while!

I need a hard mat though... my mat keeps moving on me...

Enlarge objects? You mean like a giant world? Simple: You draw them yourself.

Think I am kidding? No, I am serious.

There is really no easy way to enlarge objects unless you want it to be all pixelated more than it is.

And if you mean a zoom option, why? There really isn't a need for one...

Mewquas stood there, noticing that Cyberaptor was taking the defensive. He chuckled, knowing very well that his attack could work even better now.

Mewquas: "Back Buster!"

Chunks of the ground shot up into the air in front of Cyberaptor, flying around in the air. They swirled like a pack of angry bees in the sky, running into each other and busting into smaller rocks. While these rocks were swirling, usually distracting the enemy, a huge rock from about a mile away flew in from the back side of the arena and rushed towards the back side of Cyberaptor.

The swirling rocks in the sky then stopped, hovered over Cyberaptor, and then fell to the force of the gravity. While these rocks wouldn't hurt that much, the much bigger sized rock about the size of Cyberaptor would cause a lot more damage if successful.

Insert the ExGFX. Then you have to assemble the tiles in the Map16 editor.

If you don't know how to do that, might I suggest looking in the help file? Don't ask here about how to use that editor, as most of your questions could be answered with the help file.

Mewquas: "Whoa! That is freaky..."

Mewquas shot out the tubes out of his backpack, retracting and shooting them out among the meteors to run away from the beam. He was so close from actually dodging it when he reached the end of the battlefield. His own barrier stopped him. The beam kept getting closer and closer and he had no idea what to do.

Good thing that his SIR unit then lowered the shields immediatley. Mewquas went backwards now, as the shield was gone. Once outside, however, the shield returned. Mewquas was confused, but then he looked down and noticed that his SIR was using the power of the shield generator to finish up the repairs.

Mewquas: "SIR! Cease all funtions for five minutes!"
SIR: "Powering down..."

The SIR collapsed to the ground, shut off and unable to do anything. Cyberguy was doomed now... the shield was inpenetrable...

...but then Mewquas realized that the beam could...

No, the beam couldn't get through. All the fire power in the universe couldn't possibly break through.

Most of my favorite songs are from Windwaker, considering I found the official soundtrack for that...

Two cd's of pure Windwaker. Awesome to listen to.

I like any boss music in all the Zelda games. The boss music is just something I like. All boss music is perfect in any Zelda. It fits the mood of the situation...

...well, to me at least.

No. No. No it isn't. It is a good game that is just awesome. What could be better than pure randomness?

Although at my work people wonder why I blow into my DS or why I am turning it upside down...

Driv3r has got to be one game that I say WTF to a whole lot. My dad has this game, and the only reason I play it is for the free ride mode. So many glitches... so hilarious... so ridiculous jump...

Select custom palette, then save the level. That will ensure it saves.

Otherwise, when you edit the palette, you have to click "Save Palettes to ROM". Note that this will overwrite the palettes you changed throughout the entire ROM.

Ugh... oh... gah! That is just... *dies*

You are better off creating a custom tileset. It shouldn't be too hard making an inside the body tileset. You just have to work around some things.

Here is just what a minute in paint can do for me...

Just a tile... that took a minute... in paint...

To see it grouped up, quote me and copy/paste the image one right after the other to see it tiled. I would post it, but I don't know if that would be allowed...

Glad to see that you are actually trying to stop the bumping, BMF. It is annoying the heck out of me that I see a whole lot of bumping...

...and me thinking it is actually something new.

I don't even look past page one unless there is crucial information that I need to obtain. Even then, I don't need to reply anyway. If I do have a question, a PM would be my best bet for help...

Oh great. Look, BMF just got done saying STOP BUMPING OLD THREADS! You just bumped a thread from August of 2004. WHY!?

You obviously didn't read what it said to do in the code anyway, because when it says to type in Chelsea exactly after you load up your rom, it means type in Chelsea as it looks. Capital and all.

In the editor? You mean Lunar Magic? If you need to see the tiles in Lunar Magic, then open up the 8x8 editor. There, you use the arrow keys to find your ExGFX.
