Wait wait wait. You could just replace the graphics file for the first set of FG files to be your ExGFX file. The only problem there is the fact that all the animations will still have to be there, but you can get a whole bunch more tiles in there for use in the FG. Also, try using the BG file for some FG graphics.

You can use my technique for a background also. What I meant was that if you have extra tiles in the BG ExGFX file you can use those blank ones for FG tiles. You just have to add them in the Map16 editor but you obviously know how to do that...

OOC: I felt that the scenery was being neglected in most battles. Hey, it made a cool attack though!
---------------

William's bag, up on a catwalk above him, would be very hard to get to normally running there, and Kyle was going to make sure that he wouldn't easily get it. Right now, William had to worry about dodging the rubble being thrown at him. That, though, gave him an idea...

As the first piece of rubble flung towards him, he jumped, put his feet on it, and pushed away, hopping from rubble to rubble until one was just high enough for him to make his move. When one finally did, he jumped on it and made a huge jump up to the catwalk... there was one problem he knew from the start: he wouldn't jump high enough.

He took out his sword and focused all of his energy to the tip of it. A huge rush of energy met and a beam came directly from the sword, an ice elemental beam. It shot directly towards Kyle's feet, hoping to freeze him in the ground. The beam's force was just powerful enough to get William beside the catwalk and grab his bag with his free hand.

When the beam stopped, he started heading to the ground. He put the bag on the back of his shirt and secured it with Instaweld, a made up product that welds something to something else like magic. He would later remove the weld, but when dealing with a master of gravity, he could take no chances anymore.

William began getting rammed repeatedly by the discs spinning back and forth. He kept getting hit until he pulled out of his bag a bomb and detonator. With the bomb he strapped it at the right time to one of the discs spinning around Kyle. William let his legs relax and was knocked into the wall a second time, this time with a few scratches on his arm and face. No blood, however.

William quickly got up and said a witty comment.

William: "My goal isn't of destroying the disc, but hurting you is."

William pressed the trigger on the detonator. The bomb exploded. He didn't know whether or not the discs were indestructable, but he knew that they always hovered near him so the blast radius of the bomb would hurt him in some way unless he quickly moved the disc away from him in less than a second.

Trapster: You have to be in the region to find out how you rank.

The small, pro-business government concentrates mainly on Social Welfare, although Education and Commerce are secondary priorities. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Woodchip Exports, and Pizza Delivery industries.

Yeah, a nation which the pizza delivery boys make as much muny as a woodchip exporter.

Military spending recently hit a new high, the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, and organ donation rates are among the lowest in the region.

Why they put that stuff in one sentence makes sence. People need to donate organs to go towards soldiers in need of them, which the soldiers do nothing but read Harry Potter and watch racist shows...

...my nation is weird...

Posted on 03-26-05 10:07 AM, in PSP :: It's Okay, You Can Touch This One Link
People at school didn't know it was out yet... until I told them they showed it on the news. Here was a conversation that happened (it pretty much went like this):

"Yeah... and Sony is doing too much advertising with the PSP since it was on the news this morning..."
"When does it come out?"
"Yesterday..."
"NO WAY!? REALLY!? I NEED TO GET ONE NOW!"
"Whoa, wait a minute, have you considered the DS?"
"No, the DS sucks because it features Mario and Pokemon."
"And what does the PSP have?"
"Music and movies. Plus some violent games."

...talk about being hyped. And on the news it never said "handheld game system" at anytime. They said it can play music and movies with great quality. They never mentioned the games... shouldn't that be the prime concern?

...and to top it off, I told them they should research about the sales in Japan and the problems with it's launch there due to really critical key points. Did they? No, they said they (get this) know that the PSP will be better than the DS.

Final Verdict: Can't come up with one yet until I go play a PSP for myself, but right now there are almost no games that I have not already played way too much... so the DS wins due to the fact they are being different in their games, minus SM64DS, which was a completly better remake of SM64.

Note that this is my opinion and not a fact. Don't treat it as a fact.

Cpubasic comes in with a shotgun and shoots Trashykins.

...wait... what about the Ninji Saga?

The hack... ugh... what did you change? The title? The sprite? Come on! I can make a cool shadow aura over my own sprite any day and it look better than that peice of crap you call an aura. Watch and loin as I make my Spikeo have a shadow aura.

Note that this was done in paint in under 5 minutes, so of course it isn't the best aura there ever was. But this is to show how your snow blotch

you call an aura looks like the Pokemon needs an old man shaver (a byte for anyone who can guess why I said that).

For some positive feedback... you changed the title... and that is all I got good to say...

William was hanging in the air wondering why Kyle didn't go and attack him already. William had a decent amount of time to think about a good strategy against him, but unfortunatly he had no clue about any of his skills that would be useful, this being his first true battle and all.

He decided to reach in his bag again, not knowing what he would pull out. He took his hand out and pulled out a staff. He had no clue what it did, so as the discs headed towards him, he put the staff in front of their path.

A barrier formed around William and the discs pounded and pounded at the barrier, not doing any damage whatsoever. William felt himself falling to the ground, the barrier stopping all interference with Kyle's gravity control. He was confused.

The discs power dropped and the barrier ceased when the staff dissolved to dust. William was slightly hit by the discs, but not any major damage. William then pulled out his Black Thorn and rushed at Kyle, hoping that he will abandon the disc routine and switch to a hand-to-hand combat strategy.

...uhh... well.. uhh...

The sprites are not that good, I should say. If you want a good sprite, you should at least add shading. Shading can make all the difference.

...although here it won't make any difference as the sprites are not good to begin with.

What I would recommend is to make a SMW hack without changing Mario right off the bat. Right now, practice your drawing skills by drawing FG graphics good, then move on to BG, and then move to sprites. Once you follow that you should be able to make the sprites here a whole lot better.

And didn't Kario try to do the Acmlm's Board SMW hack before?

This is an interview about the mapmaker before the release of Future Perfect.

Now I think that the mapmaker in this one will be really really good. I still play around with the Timesplitters 2 mapmaker and have made some really cool deathmatch maps although none have the sniper since there really isn't a point in it...

In Future Perfect, however, I might use Snipers a whole lot more if what they say is true.

I am getting this game real soon... after I pay the down payment for my dad's 84 Monte Carlo... I need a car before I need a game.

Kicked down on the ground and about to be attacked, William decided to reply to Kyle's question.

William: "Uhh.. I was pulled in here by a gravity beam set up by the Windonian Empire." William did a backflip from a sitting position, dodging both the saws and the sword by very little. "I came here to stop the empire, but they were all dead... this command, at least."

William held his right hand in the air and his left hand towards the ground. A light shone from his hands and he moved his hands clockwise (counter-clockwise if you are looking at him directly). A transparent circle was formed and it glistened in the light. William then took his hands and charged up an attack to go through the so-called barrier and hit Kyle, but this charge time would probably give Kyle the chance to use his spell he was charging up.

The barrier, however, was a two-way attack charger, meaning any attack that goes through the sheild before William gets the chance to use an attack would be powered up by 200%. Any attack was devastating then as long as it was a magic attack.

William did not know that the barrier also charged up his rival's attacks...

OOC: Might as well use my Tyantas character. See page 1 for details.
--------

Entering from the main entranceway, a spiked creature walks in and sees Ryan yielding a huge sword while he was surrounded with a huge arsenal of weapons.

???: "...crap... wrong house..."

The Spikeo walked ahead towards the human. "Yeah, my name is Tyantas and you can't beat me... so just leave me alone and let me go my ways."

Tyantas turned around and started walking out, but he knew that Ryan would stop him. He pulled out a dagger from his bandana holster and turned around, facing the sword-weilder.

Tyrantas: "Well, I am in no rush for the tornament... I could use a little practice."

That being been said, Tyrantas put his left leg forward, ready to make a move, ready to dodge, ready for anything...

OOC Edit: Dang Internet... posted twice when I got disconnected...

Tyantas quickly jumped up in the air. Due to being very light-weight, Spikeos jumping ability is extraordinary.

When he jumped in the air, dodging the bullets which hit the floor and richochet, he held on to a ledge which held a shotgun. He looked at it and decided it wasn't worth the effort to use.

Tyantas: "Gah, the simple gun n' run technique. How cliche..."

Tyantas then took his dagger and held it in front of him. Instead of simply jumping off the ledge and trying to stab Ryan with the dagger, the dagger turned red and disappeared from his hand instantly. Turns out he can throw daggers in a millisecond and it look like he did not even do anything.

The dagger raced towards Ryan at an alarming rate, heating up anything in its path. Not only was it fire enchanted, the speed increased the temperature of the dagger and whatever it touched would catch fire on contact.

This thread doesn't have to be a poll... otherwise the poll would be really, really big due to the fact that... uhh... enemies and such would have to be included. Plus you probably wouldn't put in characters from Eternal Darkness in it...

So I won't vote... just because way too many characters are missing...

As the barrier ceased, William felt himself become heavier. As he tried to stay up, the disc came hurling at him. He couldn't bear holding himself up much longer and he fell to the ground. The disc went right over his head, but the blade sort of ripped the back of his shirt.

William: "Too... much... weight..."

William was desperate now, since he really couldn't move... so he reached into his pouch again, trying desperatly to pull something good out. He pulled out something that completly neutralized Kyle's move: a Roc's Feather. With this feather, the person holding it becomes a whole lot lighter. William got up on his feet again and held the feather in his left hand.

William: "Very nice move you got there, doubling my weight like that... unfortunatley every move has a counter move. You just have to know how to execute it right."

William then jumped up in the air, this time it wasn't a mere simple jump. The Roc's Feather took hold, and he soared to the ceiling with a bounding leap. He pulled out his sword and pointed it at Kyle who was directly below him. He then took the feather and put it back in the bag, returning it to the unknown dimension which all items go to when not in use.

Kyle's spell was still in effect though. William, being doubled his weight now, came crashing towards Kyle at an alarming rate. Nothing was going to stop William from his decent. He was falling too fast for anything physical to stop him. The thorned edges of the sword started leaking a fierce poison. This poison, once absorbed in the body, would deteriorate the foe's speed and defence, but there was a drawback: these downgrades would have to be counter-acted, meaning the foe's attack power would increase drastically. William, however, did not know about the poison, since he just got the sword a few days ago. Many mysteries lie beyond what he knows right now...

...but right now, he has to continue battling. The story can come later.
