Well, good to hear you are at least trying to fix this serious problem.

I would help you. Unfortunatly for me, I know nothing about any other programming languages other than BASIC, HTML, and ASM, which really isn't much help to you...

Well, we can wait for this problem to be fixed. I am awaiting this editor... I want some of my own music made into SMW...

Yeah... this game is fun. Simple idea, but fun.

I like the idea of the game. It is just Yoshi's Island with a twist. I like the marathon mode. You just keep playing untill you lose.

Nice style of gameplay and good use of the touch screen. I would like to try this out VS. I don't know if it is any good, but it would be a nice vs. game to play during auto tech...

Well... it seems kind of... uh, well... interesting.

I will have to show this to my history teacher. He might think it is the coolest thing ever, having to run your own government and such.

Well, I joined AcmlmRegion for now... see what it is like...

Well, let's see...

The Pokemon universe would be a good place to go. My team of Bulbasaur, Typhlosion, and Porygon would nice... I guess...

I think having a boat in Windwaker and traveling the many islands would be wonderful. Spend days just cruising along the wide open sea and meet many many people. Plus trade would be nice to conduct there as well.

Yoshi's Island would be an awesome place to go to as well. I mean, come on! Everything is rich in color, the sun is always shining, the natural fauna is pleasant. And you can't beat Yoshi...

...I really don't know about the Kingdom Hearts universe... I mean, the Heartless attack every world and stuff, so living there would be kind of... uhhh... tough... unless you knew how to fight.

And one more game: GTA Vice City. You could steal cars, kill people, or get killed and know you will be back out on the streets in a matter of hours. Gotta love it.

Ummm... Jarukoth, the URL never changes... at the bottom of your nation, it should say "Want to show a friend your nation?" That is the link you use.

Example:
Cpulandomonia
http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=cpulandomonia

Then it should work.

"Freedom, liberty and craziness." Nice motto.

And who wants a constitutional monarchy anyway? If you have that kind of government, the king is just... uhh... useless. What you really want is either a Kingdom or Queendom if you want power... or go with Dictatorship.

Well, whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Maybe I should research some things about government... and make my history teacher proud that this is helping me with history stuff...

Coby: Check your inbox. I submitted the first sprite ExGFX. I only posted a small one for now, considering I want to see how this goes first before submitting more.

Turtleman: You can check Demo World for that background. I think it is in there.

JJ: I am sure you have your reasons. I don't mind. I can wait... just like I normally have been doing...

It isn't a big deal... I just would like to see this set in action...

Posted on 03-22-05 06:19 AM, in Reappearing POW switch [issue] Link
When you press on a P-Switch, what you are doing is simply "killing" the P-Switch. What happens when you spin-jump a Koopa? It dies and never returns until you leave the level.

The P-Switch just does this, but when it "dies" it calls up the routine for the POW Activated.

If you did indeed want to fix this, this would probably mess up every sprite in the game to do the same. Imagine killing 3 Charging Chucks, backtracking, and then having to fight them... over, and over again.

That would be nice to do, but I bet with a little work, you could make a block that acts like a P-Switch, switches to the next Map16 block (which is the pressed down switch) when a POW is active, and then switches back when POW is inactive. That would seem like a more reliable way of doing this.

But don't ask me to do it. I have no clue how to do so anyway. I am sure that it is possible to do though.

OOC: I have decided to try the Sim-Battle Arena once more, this time with an updated profile and a little story. Check my profile for the story (page 1). Note: THIS IS A LONG INTRO. You have been warned...

After an hour's distance from earth going at a super fast speed, William was awakened by a system malfunction aboard his newly discovered craft. The monitors around his cockpit read as a nearby planet pulling the craft towards the atmosphere. William had no option but to just land on the planet for the time being and explore. He flipped a few switches and he was seatbelted to the driver's seat. The ship quickly assembled into a cylinder with the sides in a rounded shape to increase speed.

Getting closer to the planet surface, the ship was on fire, plummeting towards the ground at a very fast speed. William, seatbelted inside the ship, was listening to music while this was going on.

"Pull out your guns,
Its time to run.
Blow me away!"

Listening to a Halo 2 soundtrack while plummeting to a planet. William didn't know what mood he should be in as this was his first space trip, so he just put in what he thought was cool.

The ship was within a mile away from the soil. The sides of the cylindrical ship sprouted jets and quickly activated them. The ship slowed down and landed on the ground... with a little jerk.

He was a little hurt, but nothing big. Just a sting.
"Next time, I am switching to manual."

William was unstrapped and the front of the ship opened up. He stepped out, turned around, and the ship transformed to the tiny crystal he first found. He quickly tied it around his neck and started looking around.

The planet was nothing but a grassy field with some trees here and there. This looked like a great vacation spot, but he had no time to care about it. William started looking around the planet, wondering what caused it to want to suck him inward.

It didn't take him long to discover a Windonian base. He pulled out his Black Thorn sword and ran inside. To his surprise, the metallic interior, with chains hanging from the ceiling and catwalks everywhere, had nothing in it but dead soldiers and destroyed vehicles. He decided to walk around a bit to find the answer to this. As he looked at one of the information monitors inside, he saw that the gravitational beam was set on. He quickly turned it off and started to leave to the exit.

As he was headed out, he stopped at the exit. He pulled out his sword again and turned around. He heard something... or someone for that matter.

"Where are you? What are you doing here?"
He took a step forward, awaiting a response.

OOC: On another note, I might not post every hour or so because I have dial-up, but I will post at least once per day.

William was a little startled, seeing levitating discs surrounding this new figure. He didn't know whether or not this guy was good or not. He had to test him.

"Did you kill all of the soldiers here? You must be pretty good to do that. However... I will have to see if you are powerful enough to defeat them all. I don't care whether or not you are against this evil empire or not, but I want to see if you can beat me."

William was kind of sounding like he knew what he was doing, when in reality this was his second true battle (the first being at his home against an entire group of Windonian soldiers). He decided to go with his gut and assume that this stranger was for the good of the universe and tried a simple technique: focusing some energy to his sword and then swinging it.

The energy in the sword shot out of the sword in a beam of immense power and it headed straight for Kyle. Whether or not this was powerful, William was proud of his first technique and was going to name that move for later uses.

As the beam headed towards Kyle, William started thinking of a name, unaware of any defence moves Kyle had in store for him.

"Hmmm... maybe Sword Beam... nah, too cliche. Or how about..."

The force hit William and knocked him on his back and made him slide across the floor. He got up and prepared for the battle in store.

William: "Alright, since you just want a fight, a fight is what you will get!"

William threw the sword up in the air right above him. He then quickly pulled out of both his sides his boomerang guns, shot them directly towards Kyle, holstered them, and caught the sword before it fell to the ground.

If the boomerangs hit, it would cause minimal damage. However, if they didn't hit, well... William gave a quick hint as what would happen.

William: "Just a word of caution: boomerangs always return to do their deed."

...I just checked the issues for me (3 days worth).

Only one was weird...

"Harry Potter Censorship Row"? The religious people got mad because he summons a demon to do his work. They started getting really upset. Although the librarians took advantage of this and said "It is fantasy and if you don't ban this book we get more money." I went with his informed decision, considering I am making the people have loads of options in this nation.

Fighting over a children's book... two words: Get. Real.

These get weirder and weirder every day...

William got hit a few times, the discs slamming into him. The last hit knocked him back into a wall, causing him to sit on the ground for a second. He quickly pulled his legs back and pushed them forward, getting himself back on his feet.

William: "Alrighty then, if you want to go at a different pace, I'll do that!"

William reached into his bag on his back and pulled out a chain of bombs. All the bombs were ticking down. This would cause major damage if all the bombs were encircled around the target.

William: "Hope you like these because they aren't the threat!"

He spun around once to get some throw in and threw the bombs towards Kyle. However, he wasn't aiming for him...

The bombs circled around three poles of a catwalk above Kyle. The timer reached zero, and the bombs exploded. The structural support for the catwalks were gone, so the catwalks started falling apart, all of the pieces falling right at Kyle.

Actually, since there are a few extra tiles in the GFX file, couldn't you just change those and redirect those tiles for the powerup? You know, have a new suit but still use the same head?

That sound logical. Think it is possible though?

Good work with getting this done, though. This could definitly change many of the hacks out here if you released the info on this soon. Fix all the bugs, and it might be perfect!

As for the tileset: The brown is way too dark, just like JJ mentioned. I hate brown palettes, but make a tad bit brighter brown, but add some other color effects in there... whatever looks good.
