Well... I thought about this... and I am going to keep the bridge have that same palette. Why? If I am going to make a grey stone level, I don't want a wooden bridge. I could make a stone bridge (which I have started working on). It would be more suitible than a wooden bridge because... the wood and the stone would contrast since one is brown and one is grey (well... it would contrast to me...).

Besides, a stone bridge would be better with a stone ground than a wooden bridge with a stone ground. Rocks and wooden bridges would work as long as the rocks are the color they are here.

Hmmm... rocks on the ground... I like that idea. And I could change the palette of the Stacker Plants (that is what they are called... since I made them, I needed to name them) to share the palette of the grass on the rocks... maybe...

As for the bridge, it shares the palette as the ground, but I am making another bridge that is stone just in case I want to reused the tileset in a blueish-grey stone palette. Besides, the bridge looks wooden in this way, which is exactly what I am going for.

Nice work with the background. It now looks... out of focus, which is a really nice effect.

Maybe you should add some snow to the rooftops... if possible. That way, it looks as though it did snow there... just a thought...

...your screwed... unless you have a backup (which I doubt you do).

See, you cannot have a -1 width or height. You just can't. Squash already has been informed about this and will probably fix it soon... but for you, you just screwed up your hack. Guess what? Time for you to start over...

Also, keep backups when you are done editing for that time (I would strongly recommend it).

The Map16 editor makes tiles for SMW. Those objects you use normally do not work with ExGFX (unless you just edit those graphics, but...) so you will have to make your own tiles. Read the help manual for details.

And please read the newbie FAQ.

It looks a whole lot better with the snow on the roof. Possibly could make a whole world with this tileset. Start off on the base of a mountain, climb your way up (which is when the snow on the house could be useful) and reach the top which a castle rests with... holiday Renzors?

...ok, sounds weird, but the tileset is very good.

The night palette rocks. Better than a simple background color change.

Darker plants. And I have made the Spike Rocks have a four frame animation (not seen) that makes them walk a whole lot smoother.

Can't wait to get this tileset. It will be really awesome! I will probably use it for my Christmas post layout... maybe...

Then again, it would make a great special level tileset... or a snow world....

NIce work. Fix those tiny problems Kratos mentioned and you will have a great tileset.

Since when did Sony themselves make games? All I see are mainly other companys making games for them.

The DS is an awesome system. People complain about the price, but think about what this thing can do. It not only plays DS games, but it playes GBA games, too. So you are pretty much paying for an SP and a DS for 150 dollars. Not such a bad price in the long run.

To answer Kitten Yiffer's questions:

1. You don't have to touch it too hard. Just a simple tap will do it.
2. You can change all the settings after the initial setup by pressing the middle button at the main menu of the DS (the menu where you choose Pictochat, DS Download, or a game).

Oh, and Animal Crossing is a great game. But just a warning: don't let anyone else play it. If you do, you will probably not be able to play it for quite some time... and your town will be changed the next time you play...

Fonts are by far the most tedious things to edit. You really can't do much with them, and just making the letters look cool is a difficult task itself.
*remembers attempt to make Starfox font in SMW*
...never came out right for some reason...

Anyway, glad that this is being worked on. It would be awesome to have this so that way my (and other's) hack would have more of a story to it.

Hmmm... how about... a rock? Yeah... a rock in the snow. Simple, yet would be nice.

Also, put some stars in the sky for the night palette. That would be great!

I use the keyboard...

ZSNES:
A = X
B = Z
X = S
Y = A
L = D
R = C
Start = Enter
Select = Right shift
Arrow keys = directional pad

Layout very similar to the SNES controller... works good for me.

So you want somebody to create the main character and the Koopas for you? It won't happen. If you want something done, it is best you do it. You can easily make glasses on the Koopas. Making a new Mario sprite however is more of a challenge...

So I will quote from Edd off of Ed, Edd n Eddy:
"You'd have a better chance of penetrating reinforced concrete."

See, when you come up with this idea as a newbie and you want somebody else to get it done, then when they get done with it they might want to use it. I sure would if I made a new Mario sprite, as he is the hardest sprite to draw. Lots of work is needed to do that. Besides, asking for someone to do something for you without you even trying is just bad. That shows you really don't even want it that badly.

I did teh funniest thing with my DS today. I went to a EB Games (actually, my brother did, I just tagged along). We went inside. I put Pictochat on both of the DS's set up inside. We were leaving since he got his new game (DOA: Ultimate) and I got on my DS and went to Pictochat. Someone inside that works there was confused at where I was at... I was in my brother's car chatting with the people inside the store.

Now that is some powerful wi-fi.

Now here is the thing: PSP may seem cool due to some of the stuff it can do, but why do you get a game console? To play games, not watch movies or play MP3s or burn discs or make your dinner. If I want something to play MP3s, I get an MP3 player. Watching DVDs, get a DVD player.
Annoys me that these new "game consoles" focus primarily on something not game related...

Anyway, I got the DS the very first day it was released (November 21st) and I still play it. It is just awesome.

Rewind. Mainly by what Davis said.

...nice idea DarkSlaya. Cause a murder one way and do the murder in a different way but to the same person. That would be nice...

Plus rewinding like Davis said would be better than stopping. You did something while rewinding such as delete your rom hack or something and you could rewind time (just you, not your computer) and presto! Your rom hack is saved.
