Oh yeah, I forgot you can only register on there during a certain time...

You could find other sites using Google. There are many places to upload pics though, such as Freewebs, Geocities, and more that I can't think of...

And no way am I going to send you my account. I am not trusting you that much.

EDIT: And Katastrophe, you better stop deleting your posts and posting again. There is an edit button for a reason...

.bmp is evil. They are big... too big.

If you use ZSNES, you can take screenshots with F1 and they save in .png, which is a lot smaller.

And your pic... sucks. Big time. I can tell what you are doing to Mario, but the palette is bad, the head is wrong, just terrible...

That is really awesome. Your graphics aren't realistic which is a big w00t! Very Mario-ish and the level design is looking good. Keep it up!

Haven't been active in almost a week... thank the hurricane...

Anyway, I have iced Basic Land and am now working on a new hack.

Simple title screen. DUH!

Somewhat good overworld. I removed sprite layer because... I haven't touched overworld sprites yet.

Meet Joe.

He spin jumps on Spikeos.

Helmet Dude.

Throw him away!

Big Joe.

Falling to the ground.

Questions? Comments? Concerns? Constructive critisizm (I know already someone is going to say something...)?

And a question from me. How do you use that fast BG scroll sprite again without using sprite C1? I don't actually remember. You can tell why in the overworld screenie.

Actually, even without ASM knowledge, you can make a static sprite. Just use mikejk's data and work with it... maybe make the "X" sprite a moon... or something like that...

I would post the data, but then I would have posted it too much...

...you are one of the least creative people I have ever seen.

Look, making your own Pokemon is very tedious. You think everyone hacking Pokemon is obsessed with Pokemon. I am not, but I like the game. Even people who do not even like the Pokemon theme like the game for the gameplay.

If you don't like new Pokemon, get over it. That is like saying Mario's Adventure is bad because of the ASM hacks, or saying that graphics edits are stupid. Editing a sprite is very hard work. Even editing a SNES sprite is tedious work and you have a bigger palette with that... unless you are talking about R/S...

Either way, editing sprites is better that making a hack that looks the same. A map hack and text edit sometimes won't cut it in the long run.

Well, I will help somewhat with the static sprite.

Let's say you want to change sprite 12, the first null sprite. Simple. Just look at the notes and go to the first offset it shows. Now you are at sprite 00, green shelless koopa. Now move to the right. Now you are at sprite 01. Simply put, at each offset the sprites are ordered so you can count to find the sprite you need for all of the offsets. Hope that helps somewhat...

That is a nice idea. I would recommend JJ using this idea as it is good. Nice and creative...

I could help there, too. At offset 0x0087CC you change that and it will do a certain code for the sprite. If you play around with it... maybe make the values 00... you could make it static.

And I should mention that 0x0087CC has two values for each sprite, so don't count like you usually would with the other offsets...

Hmmm... I could work on a slimy tileset. That would be really cool to do. Green slime on some sort of ground. That would be cool.

By the way, Coby, I have thought this out and am ready to ask you if you could add a sprite ExGFX section to the ExGFX Workshop. Here are the rules that could be applied:

-The .zip must contain the following: ExGFX.bin, spritelist.txt
-The .zip and .bin name is like the normal ExGFX files.
-The spritelist.txt contains the list of sprites that the ExGFX file changes. This can vary in many ways.
-Any additional info may be added.

You could tweak this if you want. I would like to see how good people are at making sprites.

It is a SMW pirate... very cool to see on the NES, but nothing beats the SNES. The music is bad, though... really bad...

I like the Koopa graphics, though...

I will answer to all of those.

1: Not enough detail? I like him the way he is: not detailed. I don't want him to look realistic or Mario-ish. I want to be original.
2: Not finished with the overworld yet...
3: Well... what should I do: make the ground cartoonish, or make the enemies more detailed (I think it would be easier for me to do the ground)?
4: Don't really understand that...
5: I wanted something a little more... well, not square. I might detail the tiles though.
6: Already answered.
7: Good. A screen that is good.
8: Haven't worked past that point.

...now to answer Keikonium's questions.

1: Wha? It is attached to his body unless I made a mistake somewhere... I will look into that...
2: Thanks.
3: No. I just removed the little "indent" in the middle of the coin animation frames.
4: Thanks.
5: That is a replacement of the Goomba... and those blocks are turn blocks. I now know I need to change them in some way...

I am working on the level now. I just wanted a hack that had nothing to do with Mario or Luigi.

And variety is spelled... wait... I just spelled it out...

I have to make a background. I just have that so the level doesn't really look plain or boring for now. I am making a background for it, though, so...

Don't worry. It will be fixed by the first demo.

First off, I think that would have something to do with the sprite interaction. Might want to play around with that and make it so that Mario cannot interfere.

Second, it is possible, but I am not really sure how that would work. Maybe use the same graphics code as the Mega Mole to make this work, but I am still unsure how the graphics are worked out...

I do know, however, when changing the sprite's palette, if it is 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, A, C, and E, then it will be on the first page of the sprite graphics. Otherwise, it will be on the second page. Here is a little chart thingy...

00alette 8, page 1.
01alette 8, page 2.
02alette 9, page 1.
03alette 9, page 2.
etc. etc. etc.

Correct me if I am wrong... I noticed that some sprites use 17 for the palette... unless I was thinking of something else...

Hmm... looks good. Even though it looks like the original map somewhat, this is going to be good. Although one question: the trainer sprite is going to be changed, right?

As for you, GetLow, quit flaming. You are considered a newb by people because of your post count. And the way you are acting is like a newb. Why do you think LapTopGun3 got banned? For being a flaming/spamming idiot. I am not calling you that, but keep this attitude up and everyone will hate you. I don't want flame wars here... and you being Scizor's brother... you should not really mention that as that could be like me making a username and claiming it is my brother. No offence. I am just saying that to tell you not to emphasize that...

I don't know about the rest of you, but there is a video game store called Rhino's Video Games around where I live and they not only sell N64 games and acceseries, but they also have NES, SNES, and Genesis games and the consoles themselves! They have the prices set according to rarity or gameplay value. They have FFIII for 50 bucks, SM64 for 30 bucks, and some of the games sell for only 99 cents. Nothing beats crappy games for cheap!
